2011 JCW Black on Black

Finally received her in on 5Jan11. I have not been able to post any pictures because of the weather . Daily handwashing and 5 wax jobs later here she is . Sorry about the quality of the pictures but I had to take these in the garage at night. Can't wait until the break in period is over so I can really open her up on the autobahn. Now to start the mods . My winter setup is 17x7 Black Painted Enkei Performance EDR's w/ Blizzak shoes.

3 matching units. Check my gallery. I blacked out the side reflectors front and rear. They screwed my stripes up last night. They put red on the inside and ooutside of the viper stripes. I was a bit freaked out. He said it looked great but it was to much red for me. I want 2 1/4" stripes to highlight the flat black viper stripes. He said it looks off the hook but not what I was looking for. He had never seen it done like I wanted it. Thats the whole idea. He called me back around 9PM. He went back tot the shop and pulled the them off the hood befroe they dried. Way cool. Sending me pic with the new look this morning to sign off on. I would send a pic but he sent it phone to phone message and I cant send or forward it. It took to much away from the murdered out look. Was to busy. I wanted a subtle thin accent to pick up the red in the badges and brakes.

I have gone on two trips so far so I am almost there . Going on a trip this weekend to Feldberg for some snowboarding so that should put me over the break in period. Only bad thing is that I have to mount the snowboard rack either tonight or tomorrow which I have heard is a pain in the butt.

Yeah the rack can be a pain, definitely a 2 person job. I installed it on my clubman and it took about an hour and a half, to get it right... but if you have help its not that bad.

Still debating if i want to install it on Ninja 2.0

Yadigme, what wheels are those? And are you running snow tires going snowboarding?

17x7 Black Painted Enkei Performance EDR's w/ Blizzak shoes. Gotta have the winter tires by German law as of 29Nov10 . I wouldn't be brave enough to go boarding with my summer shoes on here in Germany (and of course the 50 euro fine if you are pulled over without).

Was wondering about those rim too. They good great for your winter set up.
With those tires you are almost as good as a 4x4.

yeah i've been toying with the idea of keeping a winter wheel setup in the garage for when i want to go to the mountains. Not much use other wise in Southern California. But i would much rather drive my car then rent some giant truck...

Wonder how much a air gun, and hydraulic floor jack would cost?

Cheap. Jack is $50 at costco and Harbor Freight for a cheap airgun. Less $100 for a cheap set up. I take the truck to the mountains so summer tires are all I really need in Seattle. I bit slick when cold and wet in the winter here but never any issues.

Detailer just sent new pictures with the stripes like I wanted them. I am so stoked as it is exactly what I was looking for. Way better with with two 1/4 red stripes. Texted to my phone so can't forward them.

What are you thinking for stripes? Flat Black by itself would be hot too. I debated back and forth but wanted a little red as that is kind of a JCW thing.
I saw Flat Black on a Mustang at a car show and just loved the look. Subtle, classy and badass all at the same time.
