Cheapest place to get JCW springs?

After doing the Phil Wicks academy this weekend, I'd like to help my "S" a little bit.

Since I won't be racing all the time and only do a few track days, I thought I'd start off with a set of new springs.

After reading as much as I could, I've decided to go with the JCW springs.

My question is, where is the cheapest place to buy them. There was a vendor on here that was said list price was $95 per spring.

When I tried to PM them, their mailbox was full and now I can't remember who it was.

I called my local dealership and even with my 25% bodyshop discount, my cost was about 450 for just the springs.

I don't know how we went from $95 per spring to my cost of more than that.

So, any suggestions or nam vendors that have a great deal on them?

Thanks,

Mark

Get the complete JCW suspension

I noticed last week that Morristown Mini had the complete JCW suspension kit (springs, struts, front and rear sways) on sale for less than $1,000 which is a great price.

You should strongly consider the complete kit instead of just the springs.

WOW, less than $1000 . That's an awesome deal. Perhaps a customer ordered them and then backed out. The springs, so I'm told, are VIN specific based on what options you have on your MCS.

If you read the ad carefully @ Morristown Mini, the JCW suspension kit for around 1K does NOT include springs and they have to be ordered separately.

I just ordered the same kit about three weeks ago for $1,040 and it did include the springs in the price. You just need to tell them your VIN number to get the correct springs. I know the way they worded the description is a bit confusing. If interested, just call to confirm everything.

I called my local dealership and with my bodyshop discount, they said my cost was 450 bucks.

Today, I called Charleston Mini and with my same discount, they sold me the vin specific JCW springs for 300 bucks plus 25 shipping.

Augie,

I'll probably change the rest of that stuff out at a later date. I'm still trying to pull strings to get a JCW kit on my automatic. I don't want to tie up too much money if I can get the kit.

Besides, I did read that stuff for these kits don't include springs so I figured I was going to have to order them anyways.

Thanks,

Mark

Thanks for the update info! I see that Morristown Mini has the kit advertised for $985.00 now....

No offense izzle but no way.... you'll get 1/4" to pooooossibly 1/2" (I highly doubt that) using JCW springs.

JCW springs are too expensive for what you get in return. I did the JCW springs on my last mini and NM engr'ing springs for half the cost and waaay better than the JCW springs. (plus they lower the car perfectly)

No offence taken but I DID get 1 half inch in the back and 3 quarters of an inch in the front with my JCW springs on a 2009 MCS. If you check around this is what most people are getting with the JCWs. This is a perfict drop for ME only because I did not want a slammed tuner honda look.

Wow, I think that's most than normal. I think even the dealership will tell you 1/4".

Obviously, it doesn't matter, I just remember installing my JCW springs and after it only lowering the car 1/4", I was kind of disgusted.... thus the reason I went with the NM springs this time.

Perhaps they changed something from 08 to 09...

Anyway, glad it worked for you, just didn't for me.

I've got the H&R Springs but it's a bit too low for me. Also have the standard cooper s ones. Anyone looking to trade the JCW springs for them?
