Someone told me the new Factory JCW car was going to have painted fender skirts. Anyone else hear this? If this is true, smooth skirts might could be ordered?

 

I think you're referring to the less-than-appealing aero kit, not the JCW skirt package ... seems BMW has acknowledged the wacky combination isn't working and are trying to rectify the situation ... unfortunately, some fool(s) signed off on it in the first place and should be fired for ever believing it was acceptable for anything besides a Mattel Hot Wheels collection.

How does something so foolish happen outside of a grade one art class?

 

I meant wheel arches not fender skirts. Woops.

 

They're not painted on the cars at the Auto Show and in all of the press materials.

 

JCW kit will not, but from what the Internet says, the factory aero kit will.

 

Yeah I know. I looked at Motoring File and some other on line sites and all the cars had the black textured wheel arches like my car.

 

Where did you catch that? I'm hoping to be able to order wheel arches. I did some searching last night, but couldn't find painted wheel arches on any of the sites I landed on.
