OK, did you get the old one off already? If so you need to wrap a small amount of either electrical tape or duct tape on the handbrake so that the JCW grip will stay in place.

The directions are to put some type of glue...I follow them but after a few days it was loose again..the only way for the thing to stay on properly is to use a stronger epoxy, not glue.

Make sure you do not use the handbrake for at least 48 hours.

I had the original hand brake off and then found out that the JCW one needed the epoxy. So i just put it back to stock and when i had the JCW aero kit installed the dealer installed the hand brake for me also. For Free. So no worries. If you do attempt to do this yourself you will need to epoxy it or ghetto rig something up to keep it on.

For those of you who have the JCW shift ****, how do you like it? I'm considering getting one myself.

the JCW e-brake is held on with Sikaflex, an adhesive/sealant available at most RV or boating stores. or, if you are like me and like the ability to ever take it back off again, loosely wrap some 3M Super 33+ electrical tape on the metal lever itself. Put enough and it's friction fit...not going to come off easily, but it's not permanent.

I definitely reccomend the shift **** from JCW, it goes good with the brake lever and the shift **** feels good in the hand. I really like the finger grooves and it has a good weight too.
