I like the look of the philips silver vision bulbs, but resorted to what was already in my garage. I had some standard 1156 bulbs and took a dremel and removed one of the alignment posts so that it would fit into the Y-connector. The bulbs are white and blink bright white. Now the side and front indicators are both white--a very sharp look with the b&w theme, IMO.

The alignment posts are little "nubs" that are on the metal collar of the bulb. They protrude from the collar only 1mm. One can be seen on this image:



The stock orange bulbs are PY21W12V. The alignment posts are not opposite each other, but at ~120 degrees.

The 1156 bulb is white, but has alignment posts that are opposite each other at 180 degrees. Since these posts will not line up with the slots on the cars socket at 120 degrees, you must sand/grind/cut one off. They are very small and could even be removed with some 200 grit auto sand paper.

I also looked into it a bit further and found that the 1156 bulb is 27W. So far, I've had no issues.

6f7--i did get 12w lights..from autozone..the only ones they had

they are clear..and i did the mod u suggested and it came out perfect..but its yellowish white..not as crisp white as my fender clear lights from phillips bluevision

where do i get the philips bluevision front bumper indicators?

my wedge phillips i got from england and they werent cheap
