Any word on the "fake JCW carbon scoop that works/looks better than the real factory JCW scoop" project?

ahhh nothing like stealing designs and claiming better numbers wihout any backup. Especially from a company with a "famous" artist as the designer. What a joke

Gentlemen, I know we are all that so lets keep it that way.
RallyMini,
Would you please explain your statement? I'm looking at the 2 Scoops and they look nothing a like except for the fact that they are both made from CF.
Please let me know what I'm missing.

ahhh nothing like stealing designs

I know that the PU was designed differently. It is designed to sit flush against the IC where as the JCW and or OEM scoops do not.

I was not comparing JCW's flush mount type and Palo's proboscis type, I know they are different. Rallymini I think is comparing Palo's and MTH's proboscis types and believing Palos a copy without data .

I was actually just going off the post that says " Any word on the "fake JCW carbon scoop that works/looks better than the real factory JCW scoop" project?" And knowing Palo past actions of stealing designs and lying... I had assumes that this "project" being talked about was separate from the current one in this thread and had yet to be seen.

My mistake for being misleading in an attempt to find wit. Sorry. I would still like a scoop in carbon that works better than the stock S or the similar shaped JCW ,that looks good. I would put a JCW sticker on it ,well just because I don't have a Palo car .

Thank you for explaining yourselves! :-) I appreciate it. I was getting a little confused but it's all good!
JPMM,
I believe that you will be happy with the PU CF scoop. The design is better than the stock scoop simply because the inside edge of the scoop fits up to the IC. The stock scoop has a huge gap in it which equals lost IC cooling air. It's as simple as that. :-) I do not have any numbers to back up any %'s gained but the design alone is going to increase air flow to the IC.
You guys have a great Sunday evening!

I guess that you are talking about the fit to the stock IC . Do you think it is possible to get some more pictures of the fit against the stock IC and some pictures from the side also?

another question is that do you think it is possible to take off the sticker if the customer wanted to?

thanks...

Can I take the signature off without marring the finish? More pics would be greatly appreciated too. How would this mate up to the alta air diverter?

Sorry guys, I didn't notice this question until just now. I personally do not have any pics to share but I'll see if I can get a hold of some.

Is the CF one stronger than the other one which fell apart on one owner?

Actually fits great against the alta diverter! I got the PU scoop and the Alta diverter and when you look inside the scoop when the hood is closed, you can see on the right side that the diverter is angled all the way over to the opening of the scoop. there is a small gap (like .5 inch) between the edge of the diverter and the scoop, but thats because the diverter piece is at a 90 degree angle and the hood, obviously, is not.

Pretty much, all that air that is going in the scoop, is being picked up by the diverter. If you wanted a totally secure fit, i am sure you could fab an angle piece to seal it off completely.

I contacted my inside guy for pics and was not able to come up with any. Is there any one who has had the PU Scoop installed that would be willing to post pics for everyone!?
