Roads are great!

Even though they keep building new homes around here, the roads are still great either on my bike or in the Mini. Watch out for hail down there in the Lone Star State!

But looking at the PU website entry for the scoop, I gotta ask why in the heck did they use a full-size SEVEN MEGAPIXEL picture of the scoop (not a clickable thumbnail), and then use a picture that's so blurry that it never would have made it out of my camera, much less onto a website?

Either of the two pictures you posted would have been better-suited to their website than the monstrosity they used.
I just checked the website and they actually are using one of Passat's photos now. Strange, eh?

Well, if they're reading this....i would love to have them back up this claim. We ask all other vendors to back up their statements...so it's only fair that they back theirs up. Especially when its placing their product over everyother vendor with a very strong statement

The Palo Uber Carbon Fiber Scoop is truely THE FINEST IN THE WORLD, with regard to it's performance, quality of manufacturing and its ability to produce incredible performance results.
Are there HP or temp numbers to back it up? Can you prove that the quality of this product is better than your other products which are experiencing quality difficulties?

sounds good....i would hope that they still read threads about their products so that they can offer the "great customer service" i have heard so much about and answer some of my questions

We all know they have yet to respond to PMs in an orderly fashion and actual answer questions....even after a few PMs asking if they had gotten them

hahaha i dont think trust or respect comes from car color...its often earned/not-earned

I would hope that Palo Uber would be able to provide us with the tests they did prior to making the statement that their part performed better than the competitors and was of a better quality. I would hate for a company to make that statement and knock down the other vendors without having actually tested it.....that would be sad

EGO like Mount Rushmore.

The scoop seems functional, but the boastful, pretentious signature! C'mon Paulo Uber, let's keep that HUGE ego in check for a second, can't we? Sheesh!

Anyone know if this scoop come with the hardware for install? I just put in the Alta diverter and notice that there is a nut missing from my stock scoop, so half of it is loose. Obviously I will get a new nut if need be, but I am curious if I need to make a trip to Osh.

Thanks in advance.

Even if it comes with hardware, you may want to go get a set of your own as Palo Uber hardware is known to rust.

Is it just me, or does it look like the gap between the scoop and the hood is too big?

The gap looks fairly wide, but it's consistent. It almost has the look of the old "shaker hood" scoops, where the scoop is affixed to the engine itself, and there's a hole in the hood for the scoop to protrude through.

Thats true. I forgot where i saw it, but a guy on here filled in the gap on his scoop to make everything flush. It looked really good!

Not to get off topic but I have the PU wing or lip. I'm not talking about the big CF wing.

Believe it or not but it does keep the dirt down on the back of the car. I personally love the look. I guess thats all that matters. And the quality is tops.

Not my car but same lip.

I do not mean to be rude here, but PLEASE post your comments on the PU Wing in the 'Wing' thread.
Thanks & Motor On!

This is not the exact thread for that PU Wing you've installed but you can post pics AND comments there!

Nice scoop ,does it work?

I like it ,it seems shaped pretty much like the other performance scoops , but could get it without the logo? I'd like to put JohnCooperWorks on it

Just installed the scoop yesterday and it feels much smoother. they provided a sheet with some "performance" info, but there really is nothing regarding the orignal scoop to compare it to, just some dots on a graph....oh well, it looks awesome and I guess its working nicely in part with the Alta air diverter.
