Do you like my interior?

Please give me a yay or nay on the interior of my 2005 MCS. The armrests were reupholstered with black leather with red stripes, the e-brake and shift boot are from Red Line and the shift **** is a Whalen. Since this picture was taken I have addeed a chrome/leather e-brake handle.

Looks good. Check back with Redlinegoods because they now offer downtube covers and door bar covers. Black and red on the downtubes and red on the door bars would look great.

My interior is completly outfitted by Redlinegoods:

I would say it's a good start. Would like to see a few more red accents throughout the car though. Maybe a leather dash and leather downtubes with red stitching. That's just pocket change! LOL Looks good though.

looks nice.....

can I nit pick? The 2 red stripes would have been nice if they matchted the pitch of the arm rest, they are at a different angle. Also, with small red accents, it would have been cool if you could have matched the shift boot to the arm rests....like all black and 2 red stripes in front....which are like MINI stripes, either viper stripes or standard stripes. Just thoughts, but you did ask if we liked it Which I do, I really like the accents. Well done!!!

Looks OK but the red jumps out...maybe with a red dash and door molds it would match. Like me.......black and ant interior,,,am getting rear seat delete and AM seats....now debating if I should get red racing harnesses. But after seeing a little red out of place I will probably get black harnesses to keep the color continuity of the Lil Red Rocket.

But as I say...to each their own...it is yer MINI...do what you want to do to be an individual.

I am a big fan of Redline's shift boots and e-brake boots (as you'll see if you click on my gallery pics). Not really a big fan of the arm rest covers but yours look nice... like the double stripes !

Sure would be sweet if you painted your dash insert matching red. I haven't given up on that idea myself.

While I like it, I do think that grey leather would've been a better choice as it matches the rest of the interior better. Also, now you need some black/red leather seats, downtubes, dash, etc. for it to really be complete. Good start though!

Generally I like it, paint those downtubes though or cover them in leather. Even if they were painted flat black, I think that would be an improvment - nice contrasting leather would be the coolest though IMO. Also, jcw steering wheel's are so nice, ask for one for valentines ;-)

x2 on the "match the angle" comment, but it's minor. The Mini interior is over-the-top complicated and sometimes doing "more" quickly gets to be "too much". I very much admire your restraint and the subtlety of the accents. I'm thinking, though, that the red needs to show somewhere in front to balance the red along the passenger-butt line.

OOh - got it - thin, subtle red leather piping in between the cracks of the dash - only those two seams on either side of the speedo though. That'd be neat, and easy to do. It would also take care of a nasty tiny buzz I get at certain RPMs!

I think a red dash would be too much given the other striping.

Summary: VERY well done, like it.

If only Redlinegoods had BRG parts then I'd be all over it. I know they have a green, but it's not the green I quite like. It looks like vomit green honestly.

A quick-and-dirty example of that red piping on the dash idea (my editing tool is Powerpoint, please don't laugh...)

Accents look good.
So how did you re-attach the armrest? Did you put the screws back in, double sided tape? Glue? I've got an armrest issue. TIA!
