I did a search for this and could not find anything so I am going to ask! Where could I find the best Price on Aero kit side kirts only?? I have tried Morristown Mini and can't get them to reply!! So I am looking for other options. Any suggestions would be greatful! Thank You.

The prices Classic gave me a couple of months ago were:
Pre-painted aero side skirt Retail $324.00ea / NAM price $259.20ea
Primed (unpainted) aero side skirt $245.00ea / NAM price $196.00ea
Note that the prices are for one side skirt (one side only).

 

If they can stick to those prices (painted), those will be the first things to go on my Mini after I recover (financially) from the holidays! Right on!!

Dont forget shipping as it is a large item. Those prices are good, i paid alittle over $200 per side but got free shipping.

That is the price they told me. but they said to ship both of them would be 40.00 to Utah. No to bad, unless someone knows a better place to get them!

 

When you buy a pre-paiunted set from them, does the resulting color properly match your car if you have a metallic color? I have a Hot Orange cabrio, and it looks like they used a metallic undercoat followed by a orange top coat to properly get the color - you can tell this by looking in the fuel door. When I look at the fuel opening, I can see a silver inner color where the orange color layer is thinner, anyway.

If they just use a flat orange, it won't match properly, even if the actual HUE of the paint is exactly the same (since the subtle metallic sheen will not be present). Has anyone with a metallic car used this service and can speak to the quality/match of the paint?

Im pretty sure they use your paint code to inusure an accurate match.

Not painted by a body shop. Exact factory match because they are painted with the same process as the whole car is when it comes down the assembly line.

Your best bet to get ahold of classic is to give them a call. I've dealt with Steve there in the past and have generally had good results .

Classic Mini Parts made mention to "factory painting"...

There's no such thing for the Aero Kit- The dealer delivers the factory un-painted aero kit to a local paint shop where it's painted & installed. Just like the JCW suspension- This is not done at the factory. I know this for a fact because the local paint shop made several modifcations for me when installing the Aero Kit (I noticed hundreds of take-off bumpers waiting to be hauled away by a garbage truck). They do use factory Mini/BMW paints & follow the factory instructions for painting & installation.

 

They are not sent out to a local shop to be painted. That is an option if the customer wants but we do order them from the factory already painted. Like I said in the post above we can order single pieces " factory pre painted " and some full areo packages or just primed. If your dealer says that they can't get it pre painted they are wrong or uninformed.
