Angel Eyes what do they do...

Please help me understand Angle Eyes.

I wacked the passenger side lower OEM light in the areo damn.
Shop recomends I replace it.

Besides looking COOL what do Angle Eyes do?
Is this the kind if thing I can install?
Or is better to let the shop do it?

Thanks again to all

I'd like to know how "easy" these are to install, too!

If you can take your front bumper cover off, then it's easy! Any MINI manual will have directions on removing a bunch of bolts top and bottom, and then the whole thing sort of tilts off. You will then see the mounting/adjusting fasteners for the lights. First time should take under and hour (unless you are having fun doing it), and the second time should take 30 minutes. It's actually a pretty rewarding job to do on a nice sunny day. I think that Moss is running a special on the angel eyes right now...hmmm.

Nothing. And "looking COOL" is open to debate.

When you install the angel eyes. You do lose your front wheel arch lights correct?

Angel eyes are for looks only. They are popular with BMWs. I chose not to spend the money on angel eyes when I upgraded my lights on my M3 to ZKWs/HID.

What does a better job

Okay, so they don't do much.
What does a better job in the OEM Areo kit?

Yes, I know I've just opened a can of worms

I ALMOST bought Angel Eyes for my MCSc - had them in the shopping cart but then decided against it. I modded my existing parking lights to accept the white 5-led lamps - that plus silver turn bulbs plus xenon-match fogs and high beams was "good enough" for me... The 5-led lamps were like $6 vs. big bucks (relatively) for the angel eyes. But they do look cool.
