Not a big deal, but any owners of late 05 and 06 with chrome interior and the factory armrest... what color is your rear drink holder? Chrome or Silver. Classic is saying they are all silver (retrofit kit at least) but I could have sworn I drove an 06 test car with a chrome rear drink holder and the factory armrest. TIA Michael

 

my '06 with chrome interior trim has anthracite trim on the rear cupholder. i think the armrest and rear cupholder will match the color of the downtubes and door handles, either silver or anthracite.

teh factory chrome trim does not include the rear cupholder. the one you saw must have been aftermarket.

 

I had a silver rear cupholder on a late '05 with factory armrest and chrome interior. I never wanted the armrest and couldn't stand the thing so I ripped it out, put in a standard console, and picked up the OEM rear cupholder chrome trim ring that comes with the normal chrome line interior kit. I am very happy with it now.

 

Mine is silver- not chrome like the rest of the chrome package I ordered. In the factory photos it shows chrome.

 

And that ticks me off. The website shows it as well I believe.
Well, I guess we can put it behind us now.

So after driving my 06 MCS for a week, I look behind me, and.....the rear cupholder ring is chrome!

Guess they throw on what ever bits they have at the moment, or it's another "upgrade".

i think the rear cupholder is included in the chrome kit, i bet its shown on a car w/o an armrest. they probably just don't have the chrome piece to fit the cupholder a the base of the armrest so they leave it out of the chrome pak when you also get the armrest.
