This is what I got back from the ebay seller on this item

The seller said they are already on special, but he would give us if we buy 5 sets or more $37 for the reflectors and $10 shipping, total $47. it is not much of a discount, only of about $5.

This is for clear I believe, I mentioned the smoke one, but the direct question was not addressed. Since the seller did not say anything about the deal not applying to smoke ones, so I will take names. When I get enough names I will contact the seller again.

So I would like to gt a list of people together and a number. I hope if I can get back to him with a high number of people maybe he would reduce the price some more.

If you are interest let me know here. Put down if you want clear or smoke, and if you want smoke let me know if you would settle for clear if smoke is not available. This would help me get the breakdown. I will contact the seller next week with a first round of numbers. I did look around to see if i can find the clear ones elsewhere and have been unsuccessful.

Still no luck finding these....am still in contact with the one seller from ebay who was willing to work with me and still trying to find these with other people.

I am still working with the vendor, so the byy is still open right now. I have contacted several other sellers and have gotten "No" as an answer for a reduced price. I found a parts place that sells the red and amber so I contacted them about the possibility of tracking down clear and smoke one and am waiting for a reply. The ebay seller with the $47 price is waiting for a shipment to come in - week or 2 timeline.

The seller is waiting for his shipment of these to come in (I am trying to find where they are coming from) which may be a week or two until it arrives. I have contacted 2 other ebay sellers about a group buy. One flat out said no (I think his $20 shipping fee though could be reduced) and I am waiting to hear from another one. I am trying to make this happen as soon as I can!

The vendor is still awaiting his shipment. Still no luck finding another place (outside of ebay vendors) that is carring these parts. No luck finding the manufactorer of the clear and smoke. I know someone MAKES the ones people are selling on ebay - just no luck yet.

Don't know what to tell you, this is the only person willing to sell them at any discount and I can not find anybody else selling them.

 

just wondering, are these legal on the streets? i always wonder
when will this group buy take place?

I believe they're legal if you use amber and red bulbs in them. TX law anyway says that the the lamp or reflector "must be or reflect amer in the front and red in the rear". I interpret that to mean that colored bulbs make them legal. I found similar interpretation on a couple of 'ask an expert' type webpages while doing research on their legality. They light up very well wih the colored bulbs, more than I was expecting, enough that a cop wouldn't even be able to tell at night, and you don't really need refelctors during the day do you?

 

Put me down for a set of smoke. And if smoke is not available, I do not want clear.

Thank for the pic-they look great! I am also on a quest to elimate everything organe on my mini. Do you have a clear third brake light up in the top of the boot? If you did, where did you get it from? I am hoping to find a price cheaper than $70. Thanks

No, not yet, but it's on my list. I asked Classic Mini and they have it with the NAM discount for $62 plus shipping. As far as I know there's no cheaper place to get it unless you happen to find a used one.

Does anyone have a picture of the smoked reflectors illuminated?

Saw the pic of the clears illuminated but have not been able to find smoked illuminated. Are they as bright as stock or clear?

Would I still be able to get in the group buy or is it too late?

Put me up for some clear ones, ive been searching like crazy for another vendor outside ebay but I havent been lucky.

 

The clears are catching up.... well I am continously on the search for another vendor and have some feelers out, but I am not that hopeful. I am updating the top post with the information I am getting - so stay tuned - hoping something may happen soon, real soon.

 

It's crazy that no one else makes clear side markers for the MINI.

Its unfortunate that only the ebay vendors are the only ones who seem to have access to them. I wish one of the many MINI aftermarket people would carry the clears. I would prefer to support them rather than some random person who seems to be sitting on his "secret" source.

Well let us know sagworks, hope you get some good news about the side markers soon.

 

Any word yet about them being able to supply the smoked version too?
