Well, back from vacation - but still no go as of now. I have a few more feelers out in 2 more countries, but I am still waiting. I am hoping this will happen sooner rather than later, but I am the mercy of the seemingly one manufacturor of these somewhere out there. Yes, this was initially setup to be sold in sets of 4.

Do these replace the amber ones or do they just stick over them?

Also, couldn't you just buy some clear reflector tape and stick it over the amber ones, that way if you get into trouble with the law man you can just peel them off. Just a thought.

i realize ebay has stop selling these reflectors, maybe i'm not searching the right words? but i doubt it, anyone have news about buying them? not even through groupbuys, just from websites or wherever they are available?

These do replace the stock amber ones. Though the stock pieces have lights them as well as reflectors. You could take white or black reflective tape over them, but you would lose the light feature. As to legality it depends on state, a lot of state just require the light/reflector be white or amber. Some require amber for which you can get stealth bulbs for this.

From my research, I have not a place that sells the clear reflectors outside of ebay. I have contacted a countless number of mini people, parts people, etc. about these in several countries but no one can track them down. From the info I have gotten tehre seems to be a generic manufactor of these somewhere that ebay sellers are buying them from in small quantities. It seems since they are not popping on ebay lately that the source that makes these has stopped or slowed down with the production.

I have many feelers out for these and hoping if someone can track down where they come from they will let me know (and in turn I will pass it on). I have also contacted some people who make mini parts in the dim hope someone sees the need and will start manufactoring them.

I am always looking for them....

 

Just found this thread. Glad we got our clear reflectors for my wife's Cooper when we did. Last fall they were easy to find on ebay.

BEWARE... mine melted ... just started to with the stock bulbs in them, I think they got to hot once i put the front bra on. They where fine untill then
