M7 Extreme Hood Scoop and GRS Intercooler

Does the extreme hood scoop from M7 work with both of the diverters of the GRS intercooler? Has anyone have this setup installed in their cars? If there are mods to be done, how much is needed to be altered? Thanks!!

a small amount of dremeling is needed on the two sides.... because the m7 scoop is a hairs length away from rubbing those two notches on the hood itself... if u take a look of the top grs diverter now, you will know what i mean.... there's a small amount of fiberglass sitting not flush to those two notches on the two sides of the hood scoop opening

if that made any sense... i was pretty much the first one to figure a solution..... but then other problems popped up, because i also had to enlarge the bolt hole on the right side of the grs diverter... i wound up breaking the dam thing! now i use 1/2 inch washer to put pressure on the diverter...

ill take a pic one of these days

not really, but because the bolts on the ram air scoop is alot more stiff.... i couldnt quite wriggle them into the bolt hole as easily.... that's why i enlarged it

I installed my extreme scoop and GRS w/o trimming. Maybe if I did the fit might of been easier haha

There seems to be a little confusion here....I'm talking about the old style M7 scoop. The Extreme-WRX style scoop. Kyriian, thanks for the info though. I prefer the aggressiveness of the old M7 scoop as I'm trying to keep my car as clean as possible (no stripes, lights, etc.), yet still have some attitude.

mdsbrain,
Was it a difficult fit? Did it sit in perfectly? Please post a pic of the underside of the Extreme scoop and GRS hood scoop diverter. Thanks!

MSFITOY,
I'm actually looking to buy an Extreme scoop from the ones who which switched over to the RAM Scoop.

johnD I don't think a pic is needed. I got mine to fit very well. Snug without any issues. Although I think I needed a 3rd hand to hold a thing or 2 during install. I have the extreme scoop still although I did order a Ram air scoop.
