My local club has a professional photographer who decided to do a MINI shoot the other day. His model canceled on him, but he took some great shots of the MINIs. This is the demo shot he sent me... more to follow.

See more of his work at www.edwardramirez.com

The photo loses something at this small size... the high-res image is here: http://www.focusoa.com/MINI/JangoByEdwardRamierez.jpg

Jango looks great!! Hope he wasn't too demanding! Is that his "Blue Steel?"

Given all the work done, I'd say it's more like "White Plastic"

I've got a spare set of stock vents and I've been thinking about painting them myself... just to see how they come out. I wonder how they would look in high-gloss black as well...

Teck2,

What springs are you running? I am in the market for some and like the drop you have going on.

I am looking into the new Texas springs but not sure if I want more of a drop.

Thanks,
JBravoMC

I'm not sure if Tec is running any springs... the top of the rear wheels aren't tucked very hard and most of the springs bury 'em. I think he's rollin' the 18s, though, which fill up more of the wheel arch and give a lot of the same look.

I'm running the beta versions of the TSW springs and I'm loving them... the full production versions arrived at their shop last week. See pics here (https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...4&postcount=55) and a long discussion here (start reading around post #104: http://www.metroplexmini.org/forum/s...t=16095&page=3) for my thoughts on 'em. Feel free to ask any questions if you have 'em.

I thought that the H&Rs dropped more than that in the rear. Nice!

Agranger, that pro-photo you have is NICE! i wish i had someone to take pics of my mini like that. Im jealous.

Oh, here is the update on Felix, but i dont have pics yet so its kinda worthless to mention, but i'll update anyways.

I got my belt line blacked out, head light rings, door handles, rear tail light chrome....and the fender side-grills are at the shop along with my mini wing emblems and "cooper S" lettering.

I will try and see if i can post up some pics from my phone tonight. Everything should be done Monday/tuesday. and i will have alot better pics then.

Only thing left to do is find a powder coating shop to do my gas cap and my car will be fully "blacked out"

Side Note: i also added some solaris bulbs for my blinkers to get rid of the orange.

I'm going to order one of those oil change valves (Fumoto) and the supplier has those silvered bulbs (but still shine orange) for the side markers and front signals. I think I'll be doing that mod soon as well.

I might try my hand at painting a spare set of cowl vents that I've got laying around.... Probably PW, but I think a high-gloss flat black could look cool as well.

That looks awesome, a little trick that you may want to try: you can take the small middle grill out and paint that area behind it black will clean it up even more. Keep up the good work.

Painting of the arches will run you $500 to $1500. A lot of it depends on how experienced the paint shop is at estimating (some of 'em will think it's easy - which it isn't - and will lowball the price... to regret it later when they find out all the work they got so they do a half-arsed job) and if they want to warranty the work (they know that doing it right would take a long time and they are planning on doing a half-arsed job up front).

Lots of information is buried in this thread about the price and how to do the work. It's worth taking the time to go back and read if you are thinking about doing this.

I went back and read everything. It seams like its worth it. 1500 isnt bad for a quality job. like they say "You Get What You Pay For!"
