Interior/Exterior OnStar Antenna?
OnStar Antenna?
The new Pontiac G6's OnStar antenna is like 2 inches does anytbody know if it would work for a MINI? I found em for about $13 just a thought before I get a S2000 antenna.
If I'm not mistaken, OnStar is basically an analog cellular system and would be using an antenna designed for the analog cellular frequencies - not AM/FM. Probably not a viable option for a 'stubby' antenna. If you are looking for a really short antenna, check out the Ultrik stubby on MINI Mania. I have one and like the shorter look, but it does reduce FM reception.
Doesn't Work
Yeah I talked to a Pontiac guy he said he doubts it would work but the real problem is the female end on it. I am going to look into a Lexus RX antenna. Someone here mentioned it works and is 4in.

so you could use it for XM ONLY.. not am/fm
I bought one of these from ebay and it works great here in San Diego although your reception may vary depending on your location.
Well made, fast shipping and $13 delivered.
Why spend more?
