Nice hood scoop, but, i think im biased

Id say its Nice, but, apparently, no ones opinions mean anything anymore.

That would look pretty sick with lambo doors on it.

Now now rick , i didn't mean to swing all the way into full relativism . People's opinions matter, but no one has an absolute truth as to what mods are the best. That doesn't go to say that opinions don't have value...thats where the expression "thats just my 2 cents" comes from....

Now, hamann, if you wanted to be REALLY different, i'd say go for suicide doors. Shave the handles and install door pops.

Its a much simpler and less expensive kit, plus, i think you would suprise the hell out of more people with a mini with suicide doors rather than a mini with lambo doors!

I wonder if anyone has installed some kind of suicide doors on a MINI yet...

They are rather simple hinges, meant more for hot rods and such, but Autoloc does do a few things very good.

One is Suicide hinges and the other are electronic door pops.

I'll get you a link so you can at least look at them....

The also have a few other novelty kits, like exhaust flamethrowes and exhaust smoke screen kits, neat little hot rodder stuff.

i remember when i called some people haters becuase of bashing me on 18s and 19s, that became an issue, now the same people who tried to give me lectures are advocating.... Stupid...

hamann,

what you are doing is very unusual and so not traditional, so it will take time for these people to realize. Would i put lambo doors on my car, absolutely not, because of practicality, my mini is my daily driver, i eman when i am not driving my truck . On the other side i really believe it would look killer, and hey, if you are diggin', just do it, man. I love your rims as well.

I always like new things

I never told you you were wrong for wanting 18s, and never said you were a ricer....just said i preffered 15s and gave reasons. Read my explanation and see that it doesnt qualify as "hater"

I used to think that Lambo doors would look really cool on a MINI when I saw a pic of one at SEMA (I think it was purple). Then I saw the Koenigsegg(yes its spelled right), Dihedral-syncro-helix-actuation doors. WOW. Lambo doors pivot upward, these rotate as they slide forward, now just a matter of figuring out how to get them. I don't think the doors (lambo, Dihedral-syncro-helix-actuation, suicide, gull-wing,etc.) are "ricer" but they are an extreme style statement so be prepared for people to disagree as personal tastes will differ, thats why so few MINIs are identical

IMO: Ricer wheels have tiny stock brakes. Hamann's are stuffed with big cool looking brakes.
Frank Lloyd Wright prolly got alot of flak for pushing the envelope. But then he didn't have a forum such as this.

Vertical doors

I had a set on My supercharged 04 Scion xB for about a year and a half. I just got rid of it and got me a Cooper S. The doors are mainly for show. kinda helped out with the six first place trophies. Just got out of them normally most of the time. Mine only opened about 17" before going up. Kept the larger ladies out. Oh yah almost forgot the chick is Cassia Riley from Penthouse.

?watz not 'practical' about the lsd kit? it retains normal door function when needed fer day to day activities......also kicks *** fer sure at da "shows" ( l00ks bitchin' on MINI cars) if ur into that kinda stuff (car show circuit)

suicide doors seem like the way to go hamann. I have never seen that on a mini and it could be quite interesting given the small dimensions of the mini!
PS: None of this things are my cup of tea but love to see you really enjoy your mini a lot!!

I am alright, doing engine mods nowadays

Angelo,

Lambo doors look killer, but not my style, i like the good old German, muscular, Euro looks. That is my preference. On the other side, would strongly encourage Hamann to be a leader in this.
