it's a GP rear bumper, and darn hard to get hold of, you need the VIN number of a GP before any MINI dealer will sell it to you

Any help would be appreciated. Yes, I have all 7 letters.
First off, I think Moss Mini sells new badging. They come on a sheet and when applied they are already evenly spaced and aligned. You can also get them from your MINI dealer as they are considered a "crash part" and usually have a few sets on hand. To do it any other way as you are looking for one letter at a time would be terribly difficult to get right. And since it is going to a relative.....well.

Second thing is when applying the lettering it is important to get the angle correct and it's center placement on the boot with respect to the license plate to it's left. The words Cooper S tend to angle up slightly from left to right. In the past I have seen some badging replaced by owner's not done this way and level to the ground....and it looks really bad.

Thanks -=gRay rAvEn=-

I'll probably just get it done at the dealer. Paying $50 ... I guess it's worth it. *sigh*

If you know of anyone with a MINI cooper near you who has factory installed badging. You could always make a template off of their car around their existing badging with cardboard and masking tape. Then transfer the template to your car and put the letters on ?

Prep the surface with Dawn or Simple Green to remove auto wax and apply.

The service guys map out the locations for these with measurements provided by BMW/MINI, but tech's may not even use them and just eye ball it anyways. So in the end, you may end up doing a better job.
