Pls help me get the G D door panel off!

i HAVE A 2005 mcs AND i AM TRYING TO REMOVE THE DOOR PANELS TO access the speakers. However. I can only find 3 screws, including the one behind the reflector. It feels like there is another, around the arm rest, but I don't see it.

Anyone know where it is hiding?

Thanks

OK .... I found it

I managed to get the arm rest off and there it was.

The more I do my own installation, the more I appreciate the skills of professional installers.

Unfortunately, now its too late to work on the speakers because its past my bedtime! sometimes life isn't fair ; )

I had the same issue (and still due) of getting the door cards off. I taped up a screwdriver and still couldn't get the tab. And of course there is no room to see so it's all guess/skill. I did see on some website a series of red, flat, hard plastic tools used for interior trim. I should have bought them at the time because now I completely forget the site.

i had the same problem. the arm rest actually will slide towards the front of the car and give you access to the 4th screw. they make a specialty tool for the door panel to remove the little plastic prong things so you don't break them and/or scratch your door up. any auto store like advance auto or autozone have them for sale and they don't cost much. they really help out and makes the job quick and easy

I find that when attempting to get the tab depressed under the arm rest, a butter knife works really well

They tend to be thin enough, smooth enough, and they aren't serrated, so they don't screw up the tab. Most plastic tools I find to be too thick to jam between the arm rest and trim.
