Identity Crisis

I removd the Cooper S name badge and the winged MINI. I replaced the winged MINI with a "S" badge normally sold for the wheel hub covers of a Honda S2000 (the wife's car). For photo follow prior thread:

+1
That's how mine is (except no rear fog). Actually, I removed the COOPER and relocated the S -- placed it centered below the license plate (I go back-and-forth whether to keep it at all).

I would post pics, but after 6 months of water restrictions (no car washing) I think some OCDs like you, CR&PW&JB, would have a heart attack.

I did! One of the first mods I did to my car when I got it...along with stubby antenna and silver indicators.

How long before you get the "shadowing". I guess at worst I just have a reference point for rebadging when I put my future boot stripes on.

After reading this thread I did it this weekend.

Elapsed time to remove lettering and tape: probably 5 min

Buffed the residue off with some swirl/scratch remover before washing the car. Total time was like 10 min.

The badge on my JB was removed 3 years after build date -- and no shadowing that a wax/buff couldn't handle

Look Ma...No Hands!!! (i mean no badge)

what a difference....no cooper S Badge...nice and clean...i read all 5 or 6 pages of this post then went right outside at 11:30 at night.....after a quick trip to the store....and did it...its was like 30 degress out...so it took a few extra mins to get the goo off....but the final product is sweet!!!

used the dental floss/goo gone menthod...worked like a charme...also thank to irieman for the painters tape idea.....

only 12 days old....and i am badgeless (somewhat).....next mod.....complete black out with satin vinyl from.....you guessed it....lyle's vinyl styles!!! great guy!!!

take care...

Looks VERY clean like that. But doesn't that require filling in holes and re-painting the entire bonnet...

Yeah, there are two hoes that have to be filled in.
The whole bonnet was painted and all rock chips repaired.

I picked my mini up on Wednesday and took off my rear Cooper S. I really like the look and to remove the remaining tape after flossing went very easy. The car is brand new and I was able to grab an edge of the tape and it pulled off with ease.

Sorry to revive an old thread but ...

I removed the "COOPER S" badge in the rear. Now I want (need) to put it back on. What's the best way to do this? I'm giving the car to my cousin, and she wants the badge on there. I still have all the pieces.

Any help would be appreciated. Yes, I have all 7 letters.
