Where I can get black speed and tach dials?

I'm getting ready to order a Mini in a few weeks and one of the features that I do not like are the white speed and tach gauges. I hate 'em . I would love to replace them with black dails. I've searched but haven't had any luck in finding any.

Do such items exist?

You'll be missing out

FYI
So, you want black dials.
There is only one drawback to doing this. The white dials are actually kind of reflective. If you look on the headliner where the map lites are, there are also two orange LED's. Those actually light the surface of the gage at night. If you go to a different dial you will miss out on the light show at night. But, the choice is yours. I am not sure aftermarket even has such a thing. Try the white first it may glow on you when you see them at night.

Check here all the pics are gone but I still have them if you want to see them.

Here are some of the pics that were on that page too...

Hope that helps if not send me a PM

PS also black dials are REALLY hard to read unless you do white numbers but I don't like 2 colors. I run with my lights on 100% of the time so I can read mine. If I wear sunglasses i have to go by the needle position and not the numbers...I got over it but some people might not like it. Still looks MUCH better IMHO

Thanks for the info

I may order the ones at the Japanese site, if I have and extra $200 lying around.

You could try Black Cat Custom Gauges. They show up on all sorts of tuner shows on TV. Since most stock gauges are black, they mainly make other colors, but they could probably come up with something for you.

MINI is not on their list, but it says to call them because they are always adding new models.

Good luck.

I also am interested in black gauge backs... Just don't want to pay the $200 to the silly overpriced Japs.

Surprised there's no Hong Kong groups selling Mini stuff cheap, like they do will cell phone stuff.

I saw antracite guage faces mentioned on the list of special GP Edition features somewhere. If you can wait 7 months or so, you might be able to get official MINI guages.

Heh. People just need to go to my club forum - that's where I learned about them.

Yeah, I have looked at those before. I was just wondering if anyone had them cheaper.

I'll most likely just drop the $120 on them though. Seems like good quality.
