Glove box organizer part#?

Hey everybody,

Does anybody have the part number for the OEM glove box organizer? Did a search, couldn't find anything.

Thanks

EDIT: Got "the call" on Saturday -- I hope to pick up my MINI sometime this coming week!

I dont think there is an OEM glove box organizer. I know many people, including myself, use the GBT (Glove Box Tidy). Some guy on www.mini2.com is selling them for $20 + Postage.

I got mine from Minimania: www.minimania.com. I don't remember what it cost, but it was worth it. It made a basically useless glovebox functional!

I too have the GBT. A great product. You get a cut out of the MINI logo in it as well as a choice of color.

Me too, I'd rather pay a MINI guy then BMW. Also, he has a slot for maps that I don't think exists on the others.

I'll third (or forth, or fifth) the recommendation for the Glove Box Tidy. This was the first addition I purchased for my Coop (it even arrived before the car) and has been perfect. It is a high quality, cheaply priced product made by a fellow enthusiast.

Butch

PS. GoMiniGo, it you are reading this, thanks again for the excellent product.

Of course I am lurking around!

To all the comments, THANKS!!!! You guys are the reason why I do this, satisfied motorers who appreciate my efforts. We need more reasonable priced accessories and I aim to help, even if I help lower the cost of the MINI part by competition. Unfortunately, I doubt that will happen.

I will say that these trays in the below link are one of the most reasonable priced gadgets from MINI that I HIGHLY recommend for any '02-'04 car. About as nice as the drivers shelf.

Yeap, a website exists now. Finally got up the nerve to mess around and learning SOMETHING about the web besides just surfing. However, it is still in 'development' mode because I am still learning what works and what really does not.

What's the Auto Up circuit?

I'm just about to order a GbT. Nothing else quite fits the bill. How accurate are the colour selections in the "ad" to what the actual finished product looks like? Or should I just play it safe and order black?

Ian's auto up = it is a little module that allows you close your windows with one touch (?) like the factory auto down. Cool little feature. Check out his webpage for more details.

To answer the questions on the felt color, they are close but not exact and some are closer than others. Think of them as being crayola colors as being navy blue is a true navy blue. I know that kind of sucks for an explanation but it is hard to describe colors. the purple kind of matches the color of your BEP in your signature where the real BEP is much more on the violet/blue side. Make sense? If you have a question about a specific color, drop me a line and I will try and answer it.

I will also say go for the GBT.. I have one and love it. It matches my car, had the awesome mini cut out and the map slot is GREAT. It holds my registration and a few others small things.

Hahahah... Just getting all of the accessories ready before hand, are you?

My order for a GbT went in yesterday. Thanks for the fast response in showing me felt samples GMG! Perhaps you should update the "ad" with more accurate colors so nit-pickers like me wouldn't ask to see pictures...

I like keeping a stack of maps (10-15 of them) in my glove box. I also keep the Mini user manual in the glove box. Which glove box organizer would be best for this?

The GBT looks good, but I'm afraid it may not accomodate so many maps.

Here are links to the ones I found:

OEM Mini:
http://www.parts.com/partlocator/ind...catalogid=3751

GBT:
http://www.gominigo.com/8401.html

Mini Mania:
http://new.minimania.com/NewMiniSear...MiniDetail=Yes

Moss Mini:
http://www.mossmini.com/Shop/ViewPro...49&SortOrder=1

Any others that I missed? Price is not really an issue since they all range from $20-35. I just want one that will fit my needs. Thanks for any input!

I believe the minimania, the moss mini and the OEM are all exactly the same made by the same manufacturer and just distributed through different routes. The glovebox tidy is made by go mini go and I think only is purchased through them. I have the mossmini one and it is great. Apparantly everyone who purchased the go mini go loves that one too....plus it has a separate map holder and holds a soda can near the AC vent in your glovebox and keeps your soda cold ( or hot if your heat is on instead of the AC )

umberto is correct. Those three are made by Auto Organizers and are one in the same. The GbT is made by me.

My map holder is basically a 1/4" slot with a little flexibility. It will definitely hold two maps maybe three, depending on their thickness. You do always have the top shelf to store the rest. Here is a good pic of a stuffed glovebox, with gloves no less, for reference:

The little tray on the bottom was made nicely by Sean for his MINI. Mine has slightly more junk in it and I am embarassed to show it.

Thanks umberto.

Anyone know if the OEM/MiniMania/Moss glove box organizer will fit standard maps on the top shelf? Looking at the photos, the top shelf is divided into two sections. Is the larger section long enough to fit a standard AAA map?
