Aero kit... How much and show 'em if you got 'em

As I await my JB/MCS which btw was ordered June 6 but I was told today the scheduled for production date is July 27th... I have been looking over diff mods.

So, the aero kit.. its 1250 + labor, around how much does it cost when its all said and done. Also if you have pics flaunt'em like as if you were in Mardi gras!!

Hate to be one of those people to say "Do a seach" but there is a whole bunch of info out there that you can find on the aero kit.

But to continue on with your question, I was qouted from the dealer 2700 all set and done for the aero kit. Now did i go this route? Oh God No! Can you say a rip off! First off i was in the auto body field for a few years and i can tell you that it does not cost 1500 to paint and install two bumpers and two side skirts!!!

If you like the aero kit because of the look of the grills, you might want to look into the m7 "ultimate grills" They look better than the ones on the aero kit for much cheeper

I have no problem showing off my baby

My Aero kit ran me $2000 installed. I'm not ashamed to say how much it ran because I think the results are worth it. Also I didn't pay for it seperately if your wondering. I added it into the cost of the car. My only complaint is the rear is a sticker and not a real grill.

You should see if your color is one of those that they offer prepainted. I was able to get a painted Aero kit from my dealer for I believe $1300. Installing it was reasonably simple and only took a couple of hours (I think it took as long as that b/c we had too many people helping ) Plus, if you don't like the silly looking silver sticker, just leave it off. That's what I did and I like it

(Although I do have to say that on the silver, the sticker actually works b/c the silver part of it doesn't stick out)

Aero Kit...

Here's mine on a convertible which I don't see many of.
I really like it on the convertible because it sort of 'lowers the visual center of mass of the car'. Makes it look lower, which it's not.
...And here's a side by side comparison...
I took a lot of pictures at the MINIs on the Dragon. There were a number of car's with Aero Kits, including a few of the non MINI aftermarket.
The pics are at

Having the Aero Kit really changes the look of the MC because so few people actually have it.

aero

I got my aero kit for the cost of the kit minus installation as per some negotiations. I wanted the look it brings to the car and would not be completely content without it. Check my gallery for the pics.

Only thing I'm going to change is the dotted piece on the rear skirt, I want black with silver dots instead of the opposite. Any ideas where to get it?

Any sign shop should be able to make it for you. i had then make a all black sticker for my car as the silver didn't fit the look. they can scan them in and they will be the right size. good luck

One of the best looking Aero kit for me is the ZEEMAX Wide Aero Kit. However, they cost around 5k.

I don't see much difference between these kits and the one that came on our car - except for the rear bumper.

Factory Aero Kit

WOW!

To all the pics with factory Aero kits, I must say they all look awesome!

I have yet to see a better looking aftermarket kit.

Very tasteful.

I am looking into doing the Aero grills first.

I guess the average cost so far reported is about $1000 for the paint/install?

I think the Aero Kit enhances the look. I got it prepainted. Was able to do the install.

Check my gallery for mine. I think it was $2400 or something like that, installed. I just added it to the cost of the car, so I didn't care.

I don't actually have the aero kit, but my dealer (Mini of Concord) quoted me just under $2k installed (like $1995).

I have the factory aero kit - it was installed by the previous owner, so cost is unknown.

I like the black grille, the rest I'm a little neutral on - I just got used to it, I suppose.
