I don't get it. For the price of the aero kit painted & installed, the orciari kit would be a much better kit. It looks way better and more unique than the aero.

one man's opinion.

I personaly think that the aero kit flows much better. the fender lines dont blend at all with the orciari kit.

You can get a pre-painted aero kit for around $1400 shipped. An Orciari kit, which I agree is sweet, costs about $1500, then you have to pay for over-sized shipping and professional painting. In the end you're talking a big difference in price.

Anyone install the prepainted rear bumper with the PDC themselves? Just wondering how we'd go about it.

Also, any part numbers for the Hyper rear aero with PDC and the best way to get it in the SF Bay area would be appreciated.

By they way, the people who painted the arches - did you just have the bits taken off the car and done or did you buy a new set?

Aero kits look

Installing aero

The install instructions for the aerokit are over on motoringfile.com in a .pdf file. Click on DIY and it's the first item.

I'll be uninstalling mine and refitting it to install the sport link shortly...

Thanks! Doesn't address PDC tho :(, anyone have a link/copy of newer instructions? Perhaps there are convertible instructions that covers PDC removal/reinstall...

Front View: Although I don't have the front Aero bumper, I will be getting a front splitter (which will make it look sportier) and also a replica of the Aero grill in chrome.

Rear View:

Take care,
Leo.

Hi everyone,

From reading this thread I just now found out about the rear bumper grill stickers on the aero kit, which I'm definitely not a fan of. I'm wondering if anyone has tried removing the stickers? Seems like a blow dryer should do the trick, unless the stickers are applied before the paint is dry. Thanks in advance!

My stickers on the rear bumper have actually started to change colour - they are getting a 'bronze' tinge.......not happy...

They are $59 bucks from Classic MINI. They are black plastic and the edge around the light is rounded over and extends into the perimeter of the fog light hole a fraction of a inch, vs. flat light a piece of sign shop vinyl.
Can someone pls. post the actual picture of this fog light cover from MINI? I saw it on realoem but it was just a drawing. I'm looking for actual pictures, installed or not.

Yep, same ones , just got it painted and reinstalled back on.

Couple of pictures of our MC with just the front aero bumper for now. Sides and rear coming later. Grill was modified to add an integrated aux fog lights.

Here ya go. If you get em from classic you can save a bunch over the $69.oo retail. I don't recall exactly what it was but it helped. They have a flat slightly porous finish. Just enough so they don't look like they're just painted. Well you certainly can get a textured finish with paint too. Also the edge where the light is isn't just a cut edge. It's rolled into the opening. (Excuse the icky winter tires)
