Wide body kits & wide rims

I see a number of wide body kits out there for the MCS, but few if any talk about allowing you to use wider rims. Is anyone aware of kits etc. that will allow you to use wide rims. By wide I mean 8-10 inches or more.

Yeah, I'm talking about the new MINI as well, but that's the only way I can describe what I'm talking about. If I could just get some "sportpack" style arches in the stock color to push some deep dish wheels out there, that would be awesome. If the arches give me another 2 inches, I could squeeze on the Konig Rewind 15x7 et 0 wheels, the ones with the fat lip.

Now we're talking.

otherwise you need to go with the et40 rewinds=

those are not nearly as deep- it's all about the depth.

Those Konig Rewind 15x7 et 0 wheels are awesome! Best looking wheel I've seen for the MINI. Probably heavy though.

Yeah, but we'll need a BIG shoehorn to get those under the MINI!

only 13 pounds....and in all honesty, the lip on the 40mm really isnt that bad....for a FWD car. I can fit my whole MINI key onto the lip

not the best picture for lip, but you can see that the rear has a bit of lip. Nothing like the beautifully deep dishes you see on classics though. I had the same thought of using 0 offset wheels with fenders before i ordered these

Wow. That is pretty.

Now all I need is $5,000 for the kit, install & paint. Hmmmmm....
How much can I get for my stock airbox? Do I hear two thousand? One thousand?

Thanks bahamabart That is the width I'm looking for and Germany built sounds good to; however, glass flairs and track use don't mix to well. If they weren't fiberglass they would be on their way to TN:( Is it just to much to ask for I mean a set of 10" rims wraped in race slicks. I'm still looking. I would think there is a market for such flairs.

this is what i really want

these are custom fabricated from metal and welded on...and finalyl smoothed in to make it flush. They widen the car just like we want too

Right on. Direct bolt on flairs in the facoty matte black finish that allows for another 2-3 inches of wheel clearance. Any vendors out there getting this?

I would also go for direct factory replacement flares in the flat black plastic. I'd even be willing to pay money for them! Someone PLEASE make them!

These ones only fit the Cooper (http://new.minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=37606#). Anyone know of some that fit the MCS? I'd also like some that don't require painting. Direct bolt-on replacements would be wonderful!!!!

So far 'RallyMINI' has the best solution for racing. With all these flair kits, your getting really nothing but 'bling'. The cars CAN NOT be lowered and the CG is high for racing demands.
Now this is what it's all about as far as I'm concerned.

they actually sell that kit. Its super expensive, and sorta hard to pull it off as a street car . But it is definitely a serious car...and beautiful

Yeah, thats a great car, but with that look you sort of need to have an "S" with the power to back it up!
