Doing Euro Parcel Shelf next week... any suggestions?
Hi guys.
I ordered the Euro Parcel shelf from Classic today and expect to have in on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
I have read most of the "how-to's" and reviews of the shelf... so I am just looking for any last minute tips, ideas, or comments before I install it.
If anyone has any thoughts, they are welcome.
Thanks.. and enjoy the weekend.

It would be a good time to do an Aux input if you were thinking about it, other than that, the how-tos spell it out just about perfectly.
My suggestion is only if you think you are doing something wrong by being unable to remove the existing knee bolster, you just arent pulling hard enough.

I remember when I did mine. I grabbed the bottom of the panel, said to myself "I sure hope those that posted instructions were right" and gave it a yank. Popped right out. Seriously, its a piece of cake.
Did mine two days ago.... easy as can be. Mine was complicated by having to dremel out holes for my rally light toggles switches, but even that was no big deal.
After the dremel work was done it was a matter of yank, snap, snap, screw, screw. And THEN I started the parcel shelf install.
A very nice addition to the car!

Yank hard is right
Don't be afraid of yanking out the old pice by pulling VERY hard. I thought I was going to break something, but, as said above, "it was a piece of cake."
Good luck.
I also agree with auxillary port, although I had mine done at a later time. I also had an additional cigarette lighter port installed on the right side of the back of the shelf so I could plug in my iPod Belken connector.

I found that using a dinner knife (ya know, the ones that can't really cut anything) to kind of lever the shelf onto the tabs helps a lot. It'll make sense when you start the install!

I'll give the same advice I've given in other parcel shelf threads. When you install the new blue inserts (to screw the top of the new parcel shelf into), tape each down with a small piece of duct tape. Makes it much easier to get the screws in the right place.
