New Washer Fan Type Spray Nozzles

So I was disappointed with the washer spray nozzles that are on my '13 Paceman. I wanted to get a fan type sprayer that would cover the entire windshield and not just the pin-point shots that I currently have. I found fan type sprayers for a Ford Focus which looked very similar, on Aliexpress and decided to order them. For $3.00 (shipping included), it was worth the investigation. Low and behold they fit perfectly, right down to the hose connection.

But, the spray is a little low (at least one of them is) but even with the mis-alignment, they are still 100% better than what was on there. I sent the company an email to see if I could adjust them. We'll see, or I could shim the one up a bit.

If you order them, Just be prepared to wait for several weeks since they ship directly from some place in China, like 6 to 8 weeks. Or you can probably go to a ford dealership and get them for $12.00 (I'm just guessing)

If you're interested just google search this part number - 01b09QCG14

Not sure if these photo's will show up, if anyone is interested, just PM me and I'll send them.

bavauto offers a tool to adjust the nozzles if I'm not mistaken. You can also do it with a cocktail pick.

Are the ones you found "fluidic" nozzles? I had repalced my miata ones with Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute fluidic nozzles and it made a huge difference.

They don't just spray, they stream water all over systematically. Pretty cool.

No, June I think was the name of the company, probably makes them for a lot of different cars. I'll check out the Fluidic though.

I'd definitely like to hear more about these from someone who has installed on a CMS.

Bingo. Did this to my 2003 miata. Same part worked like a dream. Can't see why there would be any problem with doing this on a mini. The OP's part look like a perfect match. Only thing is if you have cold weather package don't we get heated washer nozzles?

Update 1 to a thread only maybe I care about:

I ordered some cheap nozzles of amazon ( these specifically:
Amazon Amazon
) and the results were not great.

First off they fit. They also have a little empty hole where you'd put the washer nozzle heater if they had one. Good news: you can cut it out of the OEM ones and put it in the new cheapy ones.

But more importantly, the spray pattern is useless. They spray at the wiper arm. 👎

Images for funsies:
The spray results first. Sigh.

Ripping the heating element out of the factory sprayers:

new cheap sprayers with heaters!

Stay tuned because I ordered some different Ford nozzles to try and maybe I'll get lucky.

LOL, I saw this thread pop up in the "New" section, thought I'd check it out... My first thought was "looks good, but no heater...." Then I saw your post. Nice job! If you can figure out how to get the spray higher, I might jump on this wagon.

Looks like the OEM has a spacer of some sort and these don't. Perhaps can make something and would raise it up a bit or even change the angle slightly to what is needed.

That "spacer" you must be referring to is the gasket to seal it against the hood.

Spacer is a rubber gasket. both have the gasket. It's a separate piece in the package. See bottom left:

So do these appear to have a different nozzle alignment than EOM? Does that spray pattern look the same as the OEM (despite its aim/location)? Sometimes the orifices are a big large and the spray pattern doesn't shoot as high and is more of a stream than dispersion. I cleaned my nozzles out after a wax job one time with a fine acetylene torch cleaner tip and evidently opened up the nozzle slightly and wrecked the spray pattern (was no long fine and high pressure and was like a streaming instead).

I definitely want a different nozzle for my R56 2013. Did you get these to work? I hate the stock one. Also - how tough to get the heater piece out to swap it? Thanks

Jay

Welcome,

They have a little box hole in the front and you would have to pull the old heater out and glue it into a new one, might take some work to not destroy it.
