JCW by Recaro Alcantara seats question

Hello NAM,

I recently purchased a set of JCW seats for my car.

I want to know if they come with pre-installed heating or not.

If not how hard is it to get the heating from my older seats to the new ones?

Cheers.

Kaan

Those look nice and are the newest JCW Alcantara version. I really like the stitched JCW color logo.

Look on the bottom of the seat you should see the plugs. A row of some plugs.

Yea, they come heated. I believe "orangecrush" has a thread on the needed passenger side pad insert. But your in turkey and I don't think they needed the seat occ sensor pad for the airbag retrofit.

Same ones here, check you part numbers:

&

JCW Recaro Sport Seat Alcantara - Front Right

Thanks

UPDATE; those Factory JCW Euro Recaros are NLA from MINI now but we have the same seats minus the airbag and JCW logo here:

I have had an operation, so I can't go to work right now. It will be a real good surprise if they come with pre-installed heating. Thanks guys for your replies. I'll post updates.

Does anyone know if these plug into the stock plugs on the car as far as airbags and seat position sensors?

Wow, this brings back memories. I installed a set of these a few years back.

Here is a post that you ABSOLUTELY NEED TO READ (sorry for being "loud"):
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-bad-news.html

This is the whole install.
A few points:
Yes these seats come with heaters.

For a US install, (not know about Turkey) they do not come with the pressure sensor in the passenger seat for the air bags. This needs to be taken out of your stock seats and installed in your nice new JCW seats. To do this you will need to take the seat bottoms apart (fully disassembled, covers off, foam out, etc) on both seats. There is no know way around it. No resistors or otherwise as the computer "reads" the weight on the sensor. It also needs to be programed to your car.

As for the seat position sensor, that you will just plug in but will tie it off to the side.

There are a number of other little details to deal with which are explained in the post I have linked you to. This includes how to arrange the plugs. But these seats are worth the effort.
