I compiled a How To on the brake light diode mod here.
I compiled a How To on the brake light diode mod here.
One of the easiest ways to do this mod is with Tap-In squeeze connectors between the blue-black and yellow-black wire. ( or which ever wires are at 1 and 4) It takes all of 10 min.

The problem with doing it that way is that if you have the actual rear fogs enabled, turning them on will also turn on the brake lights. Could be dangerous.
The diode solution allows the rear fogs to be on without the brakelights coming on along with them.

I have enhanced turn signals in lieu of additional brakelights. I believe they have greatly improved my merging skills. :smile:
