I want to have my side scuttles powder coated and I am confused on how to take the red "S" logo sticker off my side scuttles. Please help or give me some advice on it, thank you.

 

It should just be a sticker. Maybe some goo gone (goof off) and pointed tweezers.

 

I don't want to rip it off though because I want to put it back on after. Is there any other way?

 

Lyle at vinyl styles can get you some new ones for fairly cheap when you're ready to put it back together.

You are getting the plastic scuttle powder coated? How much is that going to run and what color?

 

Powdercoating is a pretty "soft" process so laying on the powder won't rip off any tape-off. You can simply have the guys mask over the "S" neatly with an edge of chrome like your rear badge. If you want all black then definitely rip the red decal off. There is a few like VinylStyle that can make it for you in any color you want. You can also just go to a local decal shop and show them scuttle (or peel of the decal and put it on paper). They can measure and copy it exactly like you want it.

 

If you do decide to remove the decal, give it a shot with a hairdryer first to warm it up - that helps loosen it. Otherwise you have to pick at it with the tweezers and it comes off in lots of annoying little pieces.
