Mini Black Line: factory blackout parts

So.. I remember reading about these on countryman motoring a bit ago, and while looking around online for those clips that hold the headlight trim in place I found the black line stuff for the R60:

Oddly enough I've been blacking out the mini today with plastidip...

I called my local dealer but the parts counter couldn't pull up the part numbers. When I told him it was for a Black Line setup he said for that I would have to talk to their accessories specialist who wont be in until Monday or Tuesday.

All you can do is call your dealer and ask

I was told that as well. I'm not worried.

Mini should have also offered a black belt line retrofit.

Does anyone know if the black headlights can be retrofitted? My Countryman SD All4 is being delivered next week and the black headlights weren't an option when I ordered. I see they are an £85 option now in the UK when you order Xenons (which I have) but would love to go black if I can.

So there are (or will be) black line trim parts for the R56? I'd love to have these on my 09 JCW.

Thanks. I can't see the black headlight housing on either site though, just the surround. I'm not sure if the xenon headlight is a sealed unit which stops you from changing from clear to black??

black lights housing

Ones you have white headlights housing you would have to change out the whole unit.
The unit is 750 to 1000 each. Cost prohibitiuve to switch.

Hard to justify when compared to a hair dryer and $3 can of paint

I almost pulled the trigger on doing the swap, but I just couldn't let myself do it. I am more of a DIY person anyways.

That would be the hot ticket: ala BMW's Sportline trim.

I couldn't find these parts in the bavauto website. How did you order them?

The headlight trim is the only parts available. You have to type the parts numbers in the search bar.

I can't seem to find the black trim at Sewell or bavauto? Am I looking in the wrong place or do I have to go through the dealer for the countryman parts?
