Interior/Exterior Cravenspeed License Plate Mount
Cravenspeed License Plate Mount
Here are a couple of shots of the Cravenspeed license plate mount on a Countryman. There are straight on images on their web site; I wanted to show the way the mount makes the license plate stick out. As you can see, it does not follow the line of the bumper, which makes it look very awkward. I'm going to end up using the factory mount on the bumper and get rid of the Cravenspeed mount.

I'd like to see a pic of that one if the OP doesn't mind the hi-jack!

Just noticed this as well. In all positions, it will rub if you try to rotate it. Pretty lame too because the website says this:
No way you can do that with the CM without scratching your bumper :( Emailed cravenspeed to see what they say..
By using the tow hook, the plate is also easily removable for track days and shows; it takes only 5 minutes to install the first time and after that the entire plate can be rotated around for quick removal. That means if you ever need the tow hook in an emergency the Platypus will not cause you any trouble.
I don't know about that picture, but my CravenSpeed LPH didn't even come close to touching the bumper cover! There are a number of adjustment holes in which the stalk mounts. I used the one toward the center of the plate and there was at least an inch or more of clearance.
In the picture, it looks as though the stalk was mounted in one of the leftmost holes instead of toward the center. That would make the difference, I believe...

Thanks for the posts guys! Just ordered my Go MINI Go tow hook mount based on the pics here. Would have ordered the platypus otherwise. But hate how it sits right on the bumper.
