Kurtster, what's the difference between what you have and the "new" kit from Outmotoring?

There's no difference in appearance or performance that I'm aware of. Mine simply developed a problem that the new version is supposed to fix. Kudos to Aaron for taking care of it for me.

Looks as if they pulled them from the site....I don't see anything they sell that would replace the fogs with LED's....even less for the countryman than the coupe

The LEDs are white when you look at them straight on but from an angle they have a yellow tint.

These pics should shed more light on the subject!

Are you running regular headlights or Xenons? Because whatever you're running, it looks like a good color match...

Is that the factory FMIC or a Tyrol FMIC?

Are the new versions out.

Resurrecting the thread because it's been over the expected 4 weeks. I looked on out-motoring but couldn't find them. Are the new versions out and on sale again? I would really like a pair.

Sorry. Aaron may be waiting to hear what happens with my install of the newer kit. The problem is that I've got someone finishing up chrome grilles for me and I'm waiting until those arrive so I can do them, the lights and my red GP air ducts all at once. I hope I'm not the holdup, but it's possible he would feel more comfortable hearing back from my install before selling to a larger number of people.

Should have the grilles back in about a week, then I just need to set aside a block of time to take off the bumper and do everything.

That's a good idea. I was thinking of plasti-dipping part of my brake air ducts and I guess it would make sense to do all that work behind the bumper at once. Two projects getting mushed into one on my list of todos!

Looks great. Did you do install yourself? Did bumper need to be dropped?

When are these going on sale again? I've been waiting for them, and there has been ZERO updates from Aaron.

I too am very interested in the status of these.
If there's still electrical/flickering issues, get in touch with me and I'll be glad to figure it out...I make LED control boards.

We have been working with the manufacturer to fix a few issues that were causing issues with some 2013 models as well as some Countryman models- not sure if they have resolved them yet but we had 4 sets shipped to customers recently with no issues so we may move forward with a large order for stock.

Apologies to Aaron and others waiting. I have the new set Aaron sent, but I'm in the middle of prepping our house to put it on the market in two weeks, I'm traveling on business all next week and I'm combining this light re-do with some other work that will require me to remove the whole front bumper so I literally have not been able to get a block of time to try the retrofit yet.

I feel badly that my feedback may be important to Aaron and others waiting for a new batch of these. Aaron, maybe you could ping the others who got the same kit you sent me just to confirm that they've actually installed them and had no issues?

The soonest I could get to installing these would be August 18th looking at my current calendar. So sorry I can't be of more help here. If things change, I'll let folks on this thread know first thing.

Mine died out. Started flickering, now staying on when the car is off but off when the car is on. I pulled the fuse. I bought them from overseas so I'm SOL. I'll buy another set from Outmotoring when the bugs are worked out.

What settings are needed for these to act as DRL's? Turning DRL OFF on the onboard computer or ON? I won't want my Xenons and the LED's as DRL's, just the LED's.
