Body color trim? <-- talk to Mark!

This is also in the review section under vendors, pics will be up soon

So, like others on here, I had a problem with the chrome trim around the headlight and tail lights. With the JCW aero kit and some other mods, my car had a very solid flow going but these two pieces of chrome really took away from the look. I did the joey mod too, and WOW, the chrome stuck out like a sore thumb. Being the cheap college kid I am, I decided me and my buddy would wrap the trim. Bingo!

....wrong. With body color vinyl (not breathable like di-noc), you're in for a rough time. Especially since it's on the front of the car.

After going to a local shop i heard it would be nearly 400$ to body match the rings to PW! no way

So I contacted Mark and after he put up with all my idiocracy and lack-of-decision making, he quoted me at an EXTREMELY good price to paint the trim rings. Shipped out and got them back two weeks after the day I took them off, including the fact that he was gone on the weekend at a track, and then redid a ring because it had a wrinkle. Now that's dedication.

If you want anything painted to body match whether it is trim or the grille surround or scuttles, talk to Mark!
he's:
-reasonably priced
-dedicated to your happiness
-fast in responding/shipping
-just a great guy

....and has good taste in cars

$400? Really? It cost me $500 for 11 pieces of trim (arches, valences, diffuser, etc).

Yeah but you got an exceptional deal. We just did arches and rocker mouldings for the mini dealership and they paid 1200 bucks. (that included dropping the car off and we r&i all the parts and clip replacement)

Daniel,

Thanks for the props, I hope you enjoy them.

Thanks,

Mark

Yeah I guess that's true. I took all the parts off and dropped them off at the shop. But even my gas cap was just 50 bucks.

LOL, you scared the crap out of me...lol. When you said “you still see chrome”, I thought you meant you could see chrome past the white paint...

It's too bad you didn't pick up the PW gas cap when I sold it!

Looks like Mark's paint job matches perfectly.

Dude, I’m sorry... I have left THREE messages with the company that does the clear bra stuff. I know they’re busy but come on, it takes two seconds to make a phone call.

Unfortunately, I’ll call them and forget about it. Once they return my call reminds me to let the customer know.

Here’s my number. (704) 882-1150. Text me Monday and I will call them and find out what the hell is so difficult about giving me a quote.

I’m terribly sorry.

That looks REALLY good. I love the body color headlight trim as opposed to the more common "black eye" look. Nicely done car all around.

Just thought I'd let you know that I received a phone call about 30 minutes ago (after leaving half a dozen messages)

They charge 75.00 to put the clear bra on headlamp rings, my cost on it is 50.00

If you ever want it done, cover my cost and I can have it done.

Thank you for offering your services.

I'm just curious as to how will the paint hold up against pebble impacts?

The paint will hold up against stone chips much like the paint does on the stock paint job... not too well.

Mini uses soft paint and for example, we have an ’09 Clubman in the shop now getting a new front end, the bumper is riddled with stone chips.

Thus the reason why I put the clear bra on the front of my car on all the pieces. It REALLY helps.

I’m sure some people would love for me to say it lasts forever and is impervious to anything but it’s not any better or worse than the stock paint.
