Interior/Exterior Homemade spoiler extension
Homemade spoiler extension
Just finished my homemade spoiler extension, let me know what you guys think. Used a piece of 26ga galvanized steel and some 1/4" machine screws and threaded inserts from home depot. The whole thing cost me about 50 bucks including paint and trim.

Thanks man, this was the second go round, the first one was the same design but had a few holes that didnt line up perfectly. Luckly I had some of the sheet metal left over, so I just traced the first one and cut it out and re drilled the holes. Now everything lines up perrrrrfect!
noice kid!

looks good I am not a fan of the drilling some screws into the spoiler.
You think the screws are going to hold on high speeds?

Duvivr6: Im not too worried about it, I used these inserts that have very course threads on the outside and are threaded for a 1/4'x 32 thread count bolt on the inside. So you drill a hole, screw the threaded insert in (I put epoxy on the outside of them as well) and then the bolt threads right into the insert, and your spoiler. Here are the inserts I am talking about.
