I have the English Oak dash trim and on my door handles. How do I go about finding it for the door circulars other than the $250 each the dealership is charging? My 2011 MCS came with the piano black circulars which I am willing to trade if anyone wants them.

I also have the piano black and asked my dealer about ordering the english oak. Even though they show it as available for the 2011s, he said that he wasnt able to order them. He didnt find a listing for them in the parts catalogue. I too would love to make the switch.
I am in the same boat and have tried to find the circulars since they were first shown on the configurator. I don't think they ever made them...No part numbers at all..I have English Oak trim on my '09 Clubman and would love to "complete" the wood look with the door surrounds...Anyone have a picture of an actual car with the door surrounds?

Take a look at Sherwood Dash's products. They supply OEM replacement veneers as well as custom woods, too. I've got their walnut burl dash kit on, but still haven't decided whether to put on the ovals, too.
secondly, what exactly does this picture represent and how does it relate to you?

Firstly, it represents the passenger door of an R56 MC, which relates to me, because it just happens to be mine and secondly, if you look at my gallery you will see more pictures and where it came from.

Relates to me, too. I've got the exact same kit (walnut burl) on my R56, but only on the dash. Your Gallery pics finally convinced me to do the ovals, too. Did you DIY? If so, how do you get the ovals off to insure perfect alignment. I learned from the dash pieces that you only get one shot with that Kryptonite stick-um on the back of the veneer.

Use the little tube of stuff they give you and apply it mainly to the edges. I had my wife hold the piece at the exact spot on the front point of the oval, while I peeled and stuck it on from top rear to front, peeling off just a little backing at a time. I found the ovals easier to do then the dash sections. You have a little give to correct as you go, but not a lot, so go slow. Your are right, as you get only one shot. Mine has been on for two years, with no signs of letting go. Good luck.
I noticed on the Car ID website that they had a listing for OEM color under the wood section- anyone know if this is the English Oak that Mini provides? Or at least close in color to it? I would just like to add the English Oak to the ovals since I already have it on the dash.

Thanks Jim. Sounds like you put the veneer on with the plastic ovals still attached. I don't have that third hand to help, so will have to come up with a way to keep it centered. Putting that stick-em just on the edges sounds like the key. When I did the dash part I coated the whole thing so had zero wiggle room. Did figure out how to get the cover plates off otherwise it can't be done w/o looking like gack. Gotta show off how it came out after +1 year. Still getting !

There is a long thread around here someplace about those ovals. They don't come off. Well, they will, but you won't get them back on. They are attached with plastic, rivet like things which are heat welded. Even if you bought new ovals, there is no way, I know of, to put then back on.

When I got mine, Car ID said that the MINI English Oak could not be matched. Car ID is a distributer. The actual company is:
