Non S to S hood conversion?

I know I know... This is an embarrassing question to ask.. Will the hood from an S fit on a base model? I really like the look of the hood scoop, and I was wondering if I could just buy an S hood and bolt it on.. or is it not that simple?

Ya no problem. The only thing is the grille might not line up properly. I was just thinking about this last night.

How do you know? Is the base grill different from the S?

The S grille is a little bigger.

Do you mean the part of the front grills that's attached to the hood itself? If so, then using an S grill with an S hood sounds like a reasonable requirement.

Just google it. There was one on the marketplace. Be prepared to pay a hefty price though.

Yes, it's definitely possible. But you will need the S grill. I'm doing this on my Non-S clubman. It was recently in a small accident and needed a new hood, so I'm just replacing it with an S hood. The hood itself is around 360, also be prepared to shell out another 70-80 for the hood scoop.

I got a "spare hood" you can use as a model for a small price if you are local. PM me for more details!
