hey everyone,
im really considering on buying an aero kit for my mcs. Im lookin for a good price for the kit + paint and installation. So... if anyone knows how much it cost and how much it would be to get painted and installed at the factory, can you please post it. And uh... im also looking for individual aero kit parts, side skirts, and rear bummper.

so if you have any info.. i'd really appreciate it so much.!

im actually looking for a rough estimate on what a dealer would charge for the aero kit and how much it would cost to get it painted and installed at the same time.

If you want cheap buy online from other sites...they sell for much less...you could always go through the dealer, but will pay a premium...

The complete Aero Kit is $1,200 MSRP; but you can buy it online from Classic MINI in Mentor, Ohio bmwparts@classicautocampus.com The hard part is shipping as it's oversize and has to be sent by Fed Ex Ground or through a freight company. Cost is about $250+ to the west coast. Cost for a dealer to sell the kit, prep/paint, and install is roughly $2,700 to $3,600. Done by other than a dealer and you're probably looking at about $2K complete.

Where are you? We've got a transporter coming to CA leaving Classic MINI on November 1st coming to Santa Clara, CA and it would only cost you $100 to ship with us and pick it up November 8th in Santa Clara.

it was a $2675 option for me...but considering it could have been much more,
i took it along with the r90's for another $2500 or so with SP9000's

I am getting the Aero Kit on Mr Bridger - my MCS - who is currently at the VPC in Charleston,SC.

Aero Kit - Parts - $1200.00
Paint and install - $1550.00
Total - $2750.00

and I was told they will keep the parts off the car that get replaced for me to keep if I want them because I've bought the whole car plus the extra parts so I own them all... sweet !

it seems like the body-kit from the italian job is a very popular kit. is that the kit you can purchase at the dealership?

i am a DIY guy myself and put my aero kit on. it was really easy. simple screws and bolts. no crazyness. i got the kit for 950 (classic mini) and had it painted for 300. that included the wheel lips and some extra parts (but i also have a "in' at the paint shop) i would not pay more than 400 for your paint work and install it your self. it was REALLY easy. good luck

chad, so.. your saying you installed the aero kit yourself? because my plan was to just have it painted by the factory or a shop that does factory quality paint and just install it myself. if i can recall, i recently saw aero kit installation instructions at mini-mania.com .. So if you installed it yourself was it that easy? simply bolting on bolts and screws?
thanks

if you want individual parts, the Hamann at minimania.com are easy to intall and they are add ons rather than complete replacement like the JCW kits...

http://www.coopertuning.de/shop_e/index.php - these are I believe German aero kits.....

yeah killmatic,

it was really easy. a ture bolt on. once you have it painted then you are free and clear. you will not be able to get it painted from the factory, so you will have to find a outside body shop. but that should be easy. good luck and let me know if you need any help. pm me. later
