I am really considering getting the body kit that most of you have seen here:
http://cc-b.com/Merchant2/merchant.m...egory_Code=NMC

I am just looking for those who have seen this installed and know the details as to the fit and finish or painting or anything else relevant!

This is the Orciari bodykit from Italy. ProMini is the North America distributor for all Orciari MINI products. You can find out more on the ProMini website. We will have them on a couple of our cars in about a week...i'll post some photos for the cars in a couple other colors besides red.

Sounds good Casey. I too though am concerned about fitting and painting. Do you think the dealer would paint the pieces for you? There are plenty of good body shops around my area also so I suppose I could just go to them with my paint code... yes?

Any good paint shop should be able to paint it no problem....I wouldn't take it to the dealer as they are just going to send it to a local paint shop anyway and jack the price up a bit. Sorry I don't have any recommendations in the DC area - I would check the regional boards and ask around.

The paint codes are on stickers in several parts of your car so just give them that and they should be able to match it no problem.

CoopingInDC - one other note for you to consider...the exhaust cutout is in the center...so on a Cooper it would require a center exit exhaust system. We do sell a Supersprint muffler with different tip choices to make it a center exit system though and allow you to install the bodykit.

i noticed that too... and, i would need to do that. Is the installation hard? WHo could do it? The dealer would hike up the price a lot, but, gotta do it right!

thanks for your help!

Any shop could do it - you could even install the kit yourself if you have a few basic tools, jack and jack stands help as you can remove the wheels which gives you more room to remove the front bumper.

i ordered that kit about 2 weeks ago from cc-b, they are a little tough to get a hold of on the phone, but the girl said it should be at my house tomorrow. then it is straight over to my body shop guys, and it should be on by the end of the week, if i can get home from school.
