I love the color (but would never buy it over my ds/bl). The orange haze around the front Euro plate "MINI COOPER" makes me wonder if it is a doctored photo...

The first reminds me of a Volkswagon Beetle I once owned. In fact, they all seem kind of Beetle-esque...not that there's anything wrong with that. My taste tends more toward more traditional Brit colors such as my CR one though.

Orange...if I were to repaint my MINI it'd probably be orange. I have friends specifically waiting for orange to be offered (as rumor has it) as a MINI color. I hope its a good shade.

Yellow interior...I'd do it differently, I think. I've yet to see, to my eye anyway, a perfect trim treatment on the MINI interior, though some are getting close.

Cloth armrest...nice, but I could go either way. Its not a major design statement, IMO.

There was another picture of an 'orange' MINI somewhere else within the last week or so (maybe on Bridger), however when someone asked about it the original poster said it was a gold MINI which turned out orange in the photograph. From what I can see in this photo, it looks like the same thing.

That's Killerbee's '02 MINI, it's also got yellow viper stripes on it all the way over the car. He used to have yellow 7-hole rims also, but he took those off.

Actually I think it was suggested that this was a picture of a chili red Mini that came out looking orange. Look at the door and rear quarter - definitely doesn't look orange. I don't doubt the orange becoming available on the cabrio, but I don't think this is a picture of that color.

The picture does look doctored but I just heard from the folks at Schomp MINI in Denver that an orange like that is one of the new colors.

chrisnl,
Yes this MINI does look orange or at least as orange and the one in the car show.
Exposure and monitor bias can be deceiving. My eyes are tricked. How about Orange metallic!!!
