Great badge Pebbles.

How are you going to attach it to the front on the MINI with the Aero package and where?

Pebbles very cool, one word of advice though. I had that exact badge.....two things:

1. Be careful when you put it on. They made the screws for the back too long and they scraped and bent my radiator when I closed the bonnet.

2. The paint on it chips easily if it gets hit by any road debris...

To protect the painted enamel surface from chips I wonder if a 3M clear plastic coat protector thinly applied could work. The badge should be as smooth as possible to accept the plastic sticky sheet then just cut the outline to be attached and adhere.

Maybe buy a blank sheet (must be not too thick as a headlight film-more like the bonnet protectors). Cut to the size either of the enameled area or whole badge and then apply carefully and you're done.

Looks good. I was thinking of the same badge and maybe one from Hawaii next to it. I've seen similar badges on the internet and on ebay all the time. various sizes. Get ones that are the same so they match- even same makers so it can look like a set. Collect all 50 states! Travel all across Europe!

My idea was on the upper black grill, off center about 1/3 toward the passenger side. I got the idea from this photo, but with my aero kit, I'd put it just a bit lower and a bit more toward the passenger side, so there is black grill all the way around it.

I know it comes with the screws and bracket to hold it from the inside of the grill. I'll have to make sure those screws are not too long - thanks ants! I can take a little hack saw and cut them off.

and thanks Minihune for the plastic coating idea. Seems it should work.

Hey, not a bad idea. One saying England and a 2nd saying Texas! It would be pretty cool. I'll have to keep my eye out for a Texas badge.

BJ thanks for the PM

yeah i have seen that pic before
i knew exactly what you were talking about

since i have the aero grilles as well....i would venture to say..this would look great..on your car..and would work very well.

however, imo, the badge needs to be moved much more left on that pic..it doesnt look good that centralized.

happy motoring, and when you get yours, send me some pics.

I'm not trying to burst your bubble but I just wanted to point out something. The badge is not an accurate representation of England. The Union Jack should be accomapanied by the words "United Kingdom" or "Great Britain". That is NOT the flag of England. If you wanted an accurate badge that said "England" on it, it would have St. George's cross on it.
Try this website:
Triple C

They have some very good British motoring stuff.

We know you are totally correct on the country name thing and how the Union Jack is the St George, St Andrew and St Patrick's flags. I wonder why they sell that badge saying ENGLAND like they do? but why wonder, they sell it because there are people buying it!!
