Allright so I am gonna bite the bullet and buy a scoop to run in conjunction with stock intercooler and intercooler diverter. What scoop does everyone feel looks the best. I was thinking about running the origional Palo Uber in CF even though it is so insanely expensive I'll have to sell my underware to afford it

I personally think the PU has to big of a overhang, same as the M7 Extreme. I have the M7 Ram Air and love the looks IMHO

Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks looks the best. Thats a subjective judgement. The answer to your question is whatever scoop you thinks looks best.

Oh I agree but when its a tie then I figure I'll pop in for some other opinions. I just wish someone made the M7 scoops in CF.

I have the M7 Ram Air, and like the look.

However, be aware that with the stock lower diverter, you will need to do significant work on the upper diverter area with any of these scoops to get much increased air flow. The issue is simply that the larger scoop-hole can't get much more air inside if the plenum above the IC isn't large enough for increased flow.

my vote goes to the M7 ram. It was great until that awful day.....
now I'm working on fabricating my own "GBH scoop" (Great Big Hole) (it's gunna require bending of cutting the hood frame)
edit: ps: I have the Alta V2 IC and it sits about an inch below the hood frame and doesn't get utilized

Mine is custom made (by moi). I did modify the bonnet opening such as MINI_chili is suggesting. Of course, the DFIC takes great advantage of a really big scoop such as mine as I have made the opening the same frontal area as the DFIC. I also modified my DFIC with leading and trailing edge foils.

As mentioned, with a downdraft IC, you have to get the air to divert 90deg. This is usually done via pressure.

Really like the look & idea behind M7's product but...

Bad fit with many flaws that took many hours from my body shop to paint.

Plus one of the molded-in screws now spins freely so I can't tighten or loosen it.

I think I'm gonna backtrack on this. I sold my M7 extreme scoop a few years ago because on a stock R53 front end, the scoop stuck out too much for my taste. It needed a splitter to make the front a bit more aggressive to match the scoop.

That being said, I'm gonna have to go with a relatively subtle scoop like the M7 ram air or voltage scoop if not getting a splitter

ranczar do you know if the Voltage has the same ^M7^ issues posted above? Especially airflow issues?

I've done a test fit, and it's perfect. The finish of the material is what I expect for a piece that's to be primed and painted. The attachment studs are solid and appear like they'll stay that way.
I have replaced the plastic OEM intercooler cover with the Alta version which necessitates removal of the "tunnel" on the underside of the hood ('bonnet' for you purists), so there now is a gap between the scoop and the Alta cover. My plan is to fill that with a custom trimmed and bent piece of aluminum, screwed to the Alta cover. This will create the closed path between those pieces forcing all incoming air to the top of the IC.

Edit: if you haven't changed your tunnel, I'm not sure about the mating of the voltage scoop and that oem tunnel.

I have not changed the tunnel, it's stock with GP intercooler still. Thanks.
