I got my bulbs today!

Now I want ChubbyChecker to start to produce the clear lenses for sale. I can't believe I'm going to be able to correct one of my ordering mistakes!!!

Dude nice Mini!! A black beltline would look incredible on that! I love it when people do black accents on a White roof and mirrors combo

Try Lyle's Vinyl. It's better than outmotoring's....I bought both to see....Aaron is a great guy but the beltline from him is subpar IMO.

I purchased the one from outmotoring and was actually pretty satisfied! I am sure that Lyle's is a better one though. If mine ever starts to fall apart I will try his...

Here's hoping that Santa brought ChubbyChecker a new plastic injection molding machine and material so he can begin making some clear turn signal lenses for our MINI's. Then I can begin to get the egg off the face of Frodo and myself for not order white turn signals to start with!

Are you interested in a set? I still haven't been able to make a 100% bubble free set yet, but I think they look pretty good.

I'm trying to keep a list a people who want them. I've been pretty busy at my real job.
i'd be interested

Well, I got the next best thing to an injection molding machine, some harder rubber to make a new mold. Now I just need to stop being lazy to make the mold and then crank out some lenses.

Coop's journey from orange to clear!

Thought I would go ahead and post some pix of Coop with his complete set of turn signals.

So, Coop started out with the standard clear side repeaters (standard on S) and the ugly orange lenses everywhere else. One of the options I REALLY wanted besides the chrome line interior was the clear turn signals, so I decided to make it happen.

- Removed my front orange turn signals, and bought some silver bulbs for them.
- I purchased stealth bulbs for the side repeaters to give it that 'all clear' look.
- I ordered some clear turn signal tailights from Classic mini for $100 each. (typically 125 but I got a nice NAM discount )
- I also ordered some stealth bulbs for the new tailights.

So im pretty happy with the new look, and heres some pix of the new look!!

One more pic...

Also since I got free shipping I went ahead and got some stealth bulbs for the Bentley as well... Looks very tied together!

Thanks to everyone on this thread that posted tips and how-tos!

Hey Sketch, that looks really good! Can you get a video of how your front lights blink without the lens in? I'm curious to see how it looks before I try. Thanks!

MinI____Gz - Is that just a film over your lens? The headlights shine like crap to being with...I would only imagine that makes them worse at night?

Well it is special Headlight, taillight smoke film .. i haven't noticed much of a difference its just a little dimmer at night but i am going to change my HL bulbs to aftermarket brighter ones . I really like how it looks.
