Also, I have managed to get some clear lenses and I'm going to work on my lights in the next couple of weeks. If I managed to get the lenses manufactured is anyone interested in buying them?

Trying to find another set similar (or chrome) with the right offset.

Other places I'm seeing that a car with Orange lens comes with straight pins and the clear lens cars have the offset pins. If this is the case, I could maybe find a replacement socket from a white signal lens car...? Trying to decipher this... part 4? http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...68&hg=63&fg=05
I was able to order the other socket (for the offset pins) from MINI of Ontario for $19 shipped. That *should* allow me to use the bulbs I already bought. Will know by the end of the week. http://parts.miniofsouthatlanta.com/...217160287.html

I think I would rather be lens-less than open my headlights and have to bake them in the oven.

You don't have to bake your lights to remove/re-install turn lenses.

Then how do you get them in without taking the headlight apart?

Remove the headlight unit from the car, and start removing the neccessary innards of the light from the cutouts in the rear of the headlight assembly. There is a small write up in this thread, go through and find it. It's a 20 minute job.

Pulled mine off an 09 MCC with Xenons. 4 screws, pretty simple stuff. The last screw in the corner was a real pain. When I couldn't get it I just snapped the little base. I owuld have gotten a diagonal extension but got lazy. Wasn't really a big deal. When I screwed the other 3 back into place it was VERY secure. Anyway, after pulling it off just using a small flat screwdriver you pop the little tabs on the amber reflector and it comes right out. Put amber bulbs in after. GREAT mod.

Guys, these aren't easy to make. Mass producing is a whole other project. Working on them though. Will get back to you soon if it can be done. Part of the problem is quantity.

You could try starting a kickstarter for funds. http://www.kickstarter.com/

But honestly, it looks fine with the lens removed completely (& no hassle of taking the light apart to put 1 back on). And even with the clear lenses you're going to run into all the same issues I did with the light bulb sockets not lining up for the clear lights that blink orange vs the orange lights that blink clear that you have now. Or am I the only one with modded clear turn signals that are legal?

I've been following this thread for quite awhile and I'm definitely interested in some clear lenses. Any chance that they're ever going to be available?
