"Junior" is in the process of a major overhaul... recently put on the JCW aero kit... de-chroming the car (replacing with gun metal to match the rims)... but one of the biggest changes is painted arches...
But not to match the body of the car (pepper white) but to match the black roof and mirrors. I always wondered what a MINI would look like if this was done, and now I know.
They turned out really well (they frame the front and rear spoilers nicely, as well as the side skirts on the aero kit). The car is still "in progress" (thanks to all the hard work from Eddie at 1fastmini.com) but here's some quick snapshots for you. You can see large versions of these photos in my gallery:
* The "Team 1FastMini" windshield text won't be staying on the car. It was just on there for a car show.

Wow, Junior is starting to take on characteristics of the rest of his family! Looks sharp! Were the bonnet stripes too much with the rest of the black on the bonnet?

We're putting bonnet (and boot) stripes on it (similar to a viper stripe) that will be a light gray.. like a lighter version of the gun metal that's in the rims. We're also in the 'concept' stage of creating some custom side stripes that will be the same color.
your H&R springs look low for some reason...my rear isnt even close to being that low. is it the angle of the pics or did you do something different? either way it looks good!

Not sure... might be either the angle or an illusion from the painted arches being so dark.
That looks way better than the cheap plastic they give us. I've got gen 1 MCS and I did the same thing. Its very rare to see people painting the trim gloss black not sure why, its a great look.
