Can it be done easily? I want to get rid of the flashiness, and this is a good way it seems.

If you know me, you know I am going for the stealthy look...eventually...

The parts are interchangeable. My dealer originally told me that it was
impossible. Advertise on this site and trade with someone that has parts
in your car color, if possible. The parts are about $40 from dealer (unpainted)
The painted door is steel and removes easily from the plastic hinge assembly.

The door twists (snaps) on and locks. To remove the door, you must push a plastic
tab with a screwdriver in order to rotate and unlock from the hinge assembly.

Great, you can change the MCS front and rear bumpers for the MC and now change the gas cap covers. remove the S badge, and the side markers. get MC or Carbon fiber bonnet (MC style) and you get a super powered MC in stealth mode. Your intercooler won't be too happy without the scoop. I guess you can put in the MC engine. Why does this sound like a BAD idea? Hhm?
Maybe put the intercooler in another place like in the front of the car so the grille can provide the air flow and cooling it needs- yes- much happier. I've seen this done on those nice racing MINIs. Doesn't look too cheap to do like a gas cap swap. Maybe do that mod first.

I just don't like chrome plastic fake racecar parts on my car.

Well my MINI is darksilver/black. I might paint it black...

Anyone want to trade a black MC gas cap for a MCS one?

One question...does the MC gas cap lock when you lock the doors like the MCS cap does?
