VIS CF cowl scoop.

Just put these on. I had the Moss cowl scoops but loved these CF one's.

They really look good with my black paint.

Seems like cowl scoops would hinder breathing versus the stock grills as they create a much smaller opening. Any data saying otherwise?

Up for interpretation, I'm no expert in aerodynamics. Seems like any air hitting the windshield is going to get sucked into the cowl through the opening, not sure how that would work with these.

If these cowls were made by PU they would definitely add at least 15hp.
No testing necessary.

I can't seem to find these on their site. Is it the first scoop under the mini cooper section? How bad was the install, and do they have any grills in them? Is the fit and finish good. I have their hood, and they could have done better on that, but it is pretty difficult.

The fit and finish is really really nice, No grills.

The install is a mother f*cker. I have a little trick for any one getting these. It won't help the pain of the install but it does help then stay locked in place much better then the hardware they provide.

So....I'm all about these scoops right now & went on to VIS Racing to try to buy them. However, after looking through every 'drop down' option listed on their website I couldn't find these suckers. Were these a limited edition run or did ya just get lucky?

PS. What's the secret for locking them in-place?

You are correct. I think Chevy knew that years ago with the cowl induction hoods. Sometimes fashion outperforms function and they do look good.
Now why can't someone make the vent covers in the other direction ?
