I've had the car only a week and can't stop modding. The UJ flag comes next. BTW, I did the top and boot stripes myself. I own a vinyl graphics company.

I have a R/C MINI in the exact same red w/ hood and boot stripes! Awsome. My son has one also but his has the US flag on the roof while I have the UJ. I always wondered why the R/C cars has the boot stripes and the dealer didn't offer any. BTW the models are BIG. About 24" long and go for $80 at Toys-r-us.

 

Is the sunroof vinyl perforated?

 

Sweet looking MINI! I like how the stripe cuts out in the back for the Cooper S badge.

 

That looks great...I bet the white top/sunroof combo is nice in the summer.

Yea, it's solid white vinyl. I'll take some inside the car pics and post shortly. It's still pretty bright inside, but now the sun doesn't shine in my eyes anymore.

 

This is the way (IMO) the rear stripes should be. No offence to those who have the strait ones, but I always thought it was missing the body line to where the stripes would be if they went from front to back.

though the racing stripes arent my thing, but i give you props for doing a beautiful job

and wow what you did with the sunroof, is how the mini should come from teh factory. i always thought white top minis with sunroof looked tacky and very busy, with pretty much 80% black cuz of the sunroof, and litle white stripe around it...

but what you did with the roof is perfect, and hope more with white roof/sunroof follow your lead :smile:

 

red03miniS -My thoughts exactly on the black sunroof in the middle of a white top. I like having a sunroof, but the factory look kind of takes the spirit of the Mini out of the MINI. That's the main reason I did it. I'm also considering a full UJ lfag and wan't fond of the sunroof only flag look. I'll keep you all posted on the next mod.

Nice job on the sunroof... and that was exactally why I didn't want a sunroof.. I want a WHITE roof darn it, not a white roof with a black square in it!..
