I'm getting tired of my R/C-style antenna on my R55 so I'm looking for an aftermarket solution.

It says 'No NAV', which is an option I have (together with the TV-tuner) specced on my R55.

Could that be a problem?

No one with the ALTA antenna and the satnav here?

 

Not sure if things are different for the R55, but it's not supposed to make a difference on the R56. GPS antenna is in the 'shark fin' antenna base, not the stem itself. Same for the satellite radio antenna. Unsure about the TV tuner as it's not available in the US.

 

Is satellite radio integrated into the Nav? Perhaps the terrestrial antenna element of their sat system uses the aerial?

 

I have the NAV, but not Satellite Radio, on an R56. Running a Craven Speed shorty (the long one, not the super shorty). No problem with the NAV.

I removed my antenna and have no problem with nav.
