Astro Black with Blackout?

I have been searching for what seems like months, and haven't found any pictures of this. I am looking for an AB with beltline, S markers, Headlight Rings, Taillight Rings, and possibly Door Handles blacked out. I am curious, because I might want to do it. Please help by posting pics of it on Astro Black. If you have one or two of these mods please post too. Thanks!

I haven't seen this either, but am super curious if it looks good, given the "off black" color of our cars... I don't know if it's been done!

this isnt an r56 but it's astro black.
melissa's (wikedgolf) r53:

the items that are blue tint are actually a color match for the astroblack. (basically her tail and head lights)

trim rings are vinyled by lyle/vinylstyles. beltline custom painted fleck red

Also do you by chance have any better pics of the beltline? I am curious about the red. Sounds interesting.

Thanks. But I decided to just bite the bullet, and I ordered a full blackout kit. In satin black. I will post pics when I get it all done up!

strange that our pics are so similar. LOL

also used vinyl on the headlamp rings and the smoked side markers are from outmotoring. the reflectors on the wheel well is a piece of 20% tint taped on the back side.

I am going to get my brother to wrap my headlight rings, taillight rings, and Grill surround. I bought some black vinyl tape for the belt line from auto zone. I have already bought lamin x head light and tail light covers with and installed the taillights (see gallery).
http://www.lamin-x.com/
But now i am debating the joey mod for the head lights. I might send the door handles and gas cap out to get covered as well or i might get all crazy creative with the spray paint or just leave them. I have some rims in transit that might get shot with the same paint. Everyone on nam calls this process "blacking out" but its real name is "murdered out". Its nice to see another astro black owner doing this stuff I thought i was alone. The flat black minis are way easer to make this work, but thats life. I am realy excited that you are in the process of what i am in the middle of too. Will you post pics of how your turned out and i will be sure to do the same.

I joey modded my lights (well my hubby did) and to say the least i was terrified! Especially when i heard the crack of the seal. I tell ya i could not be happier. They look fantastic and super cool with just the driving lights and fogs on during the day.

He also spray painted my scoop and MINI badges. The side markers got a couple coats of paint while masking out the S to keep it red. There is NOOOOOO chrome anywhere to be found. Even blacked out the gauge faces!

Also have flat black stripes.

Ordering my wheels next week - I am getting the Tenzo DC6 Version 1 with the red stripe on the outside.

We're driving to AMVIV from Chicago. So maybe we'll see ya there and can start a murdered out section.

I love the joey mod. But I think I will see how it goes with everything else first. Also, I took apart headlights on my old ride to do some mods and I never got them sealed up just right. Has anyone had problems with moisture after the joey mod? I am loving this look more and more each day!

from my experiences, covered head lights and tail lights are illegal in the state of california. i have no idea on the legality in the other 49 states

When ever the brakes are on you can see the mini logo on the taillights. They might be illegal but lanin-x makes it so cheep you can take them off every time you have to get an inspection and just re do it every time after words. I am not worried it just depends what shop you go to any ways. I had a car once "pass" with a check engine light on and another car "fail because one of the brake lights was cracked. *shrug* Its like a crap shoot every time But to answer your question i doubt it.

Ohh, I just recieved my silver spaced pin bonnet stripes from AC, but I may have to go for a set of flat black stripes instead, those are awesome.

Konig Helium wheels? I can't find them like that anywhere. Where did you get them? Size? Offset?
